Walked in with the least expectations based on the photos I saw. My stay was amazing. They had the nicest staff. The security guard even showed us a sloth hiding in a tree nearby. We had a great time. Great value for your money. Although the furniture may seem a bit dated, this

Not close enough to walk. You will have to drive into town to get to the beach. It isn't far, but the road is steep. We did not try to walk it. We walked along the promenade at the beach in town one night, but mostly we spent time on the beaches in the National Parks and to the south of town and these took a little while to get to - maybe 15-20 min drive.
