To say I just left paradise is an understatement.... Casa Prana and its Rainforest Retreat is an addictive place to be. Wether you’re lounging by the pool, bathing in the outdoor stone bath under a jungle canopy or seeking quiet contemplation on the yoga deck by a waterfall....you just do not want to leave. Animals abound. I saw sloths, peacocks and all sorts of wondrous birds. You really are in the think of decadent jungle living here. The decor is elegant and modern with handsome deposits of Balinese and Indian sculptures cast generously around the place. The four poster beds are comfy with exquisite cotton sheets...and the showers are luxurious. I’ve never seen such space dedicated to the art of showering. And finally the hosts: What can be said about these two fine individuals? Well lots...but it is your turn now to meet and linger just a bit in the warm shades of their hospitality, their cooking and their generous spirits. Bring on the next visit to my home away from home. Thank you chaps!

Where do we begin--this is THE perfect place for a honeymoon or a desperately needed get away. Clean, comfortable, relaxing, safe. Wonderful coffee and an even more incredible breakfast made just the way you want it. Mark and Jon even accommodated my boring and less than adventuresome tastes. They go above and beyond to make your stay as memorable as it can be (and it will be!) The kitchen is an added touch that we thoroughly enjoyed. They came up to the grocery store with us and made recommendations for local brands and made suggestions so the nights we decided to just relax at the villa, we still could enjoy a nice dinner. We were amazed at the amount of wildlife we saw (every day) right from the balcony for breakfast or in the kitchen during dinner. There were days that we might spent hours watching the different types of monkeys that ran through the trees surrounding our villa. I can only describe this place as a Buddhist temple in the jungle. You will not experience more peacefulness then you will receive staying here with Mark and Jon. They're incredible hosts and so very proud of their small slice of heaven!!!

Where to begin... This was round one, week one of our honeymoon and I had kept it a surprise from my new bride for a year and a half. Mark met us on an ATV to keep her inquisitiveness even more puzzled. The property is so beautiful with an Eastern monastic decor on a modern build. The new kitchen, largely unused by us, was gorgeous and makes a wonderful addition to the experience. It really becomes like home. Mark and Jon, our hosts, are among the nicest people I have ever met and make You their top priority. Privacy is strictly upheld. They always let you know if they need to enter your "area." Their meals are worthy of a Michelin star, at the very least. Our best meals of the trip were had here. The serenity and awe-inspiring nature immersion, coupled, perhaps, with some massages, offer true rest and relaxation. One can refocus one's mind and center relationships during their stay. My mental and emotional health are functioning much healthier now. With our excursions (read also as "adventures"), I'm tired and sore, but you get to come home to a relaxed atmosphere, highly conducive for recovery and peace. I cannot reccomend this place more. I hope everyone able will get to experience the joy of staying here. Pura Vida!! ~ZMG

Prana Rainforest Retreat was amazing! My wife and I were lucky enough to spend our honeymoon at this amazing place. We had the full honeymoon package - 7 days, breakfast, 2 dinners, 2 activities, 3 messages. Mark and Jon were amazing hosts - super friendly, down to earth, and extremely helpful with all the recommendations. Not to mention, they are both amazing chefs! They were able to create delicious vegan breakfasts, which we look forward to every morning. Also, the two dinners were amazing as well...the wife and I devoured it all! We absolutely loved every detail of the house, which is what drew us to choose Prana for our honeymoon stay. Loved waking up to the sounds of the Howler Monkeys and other nature sounds every morning (Manuel Antonio National Park is their backyard!)! Our next trip to Manuel Antonio, we definitely would choose to stay at Prana again. Thank you again Mark and Jon for our amazing honeymoon vacation! Pura Vida!

This place is amazing. There are so many personal touches and little details in the house, you can really tell Mark and Jon take pride in hosting guests. They made my girlfriend and I feel instantly welcome, and provided us with an awesome breakfast every morning! In addition Mark was super helpful with local tips, which included finding a local sloth that we could literally see from our living room. We loved everything about the place, and would gladly go again any time we return to Costa Rica!
