We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Verde Mar. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and well kept. The location is hard to beat- it's steps from the beach and very close to the national park. We did not have a car, and were able to walk to restaurants, beaches, and use the bus/shuttle to get into Quepos.

This hotel is a gem. Moderately priced rooms with two double beds, kitchenette, large walk in closet and large bathroom. Very clean and well furnished for those who want to have a kitchenette while traveling. The beach is right out the gate and the pool is clean and refreshing. The restaurant next door is great. I will stay here again... More

We went to Manuel Antonio in the busiest time of the year... December 31st - January 2nd so there wasn't much to choose, everything was already booked when we started searching. If you haven't been to Manuel Antonio, this tip might be useful: you have hotels up in the hill with amazing views but you have to drive or take... More

I love that it asks for 'amenities' as this hotel has NONE. There is a book exchange, kind of, as they have shelves and shelves of used books that guests have left. BUT, you have to pay $3 US if you want one! There are none of the expected items in the bathroom, shampoo, lotion, not even a washcloth and... More

Not easy to find, since the sign is carved out of dark wood, but this is a nice place. (Look for the Wave Restaurant next door.) Rooms are clean, not fancy, but adequate. Abundant hot water. There is a pool & gated beach access. Arrangements can be made with the front desk for excursions. With them, we arranged for a... More

It was a little difficult to find but it's right by the Wave Restaurant. Beach front access, close to Manuel Antonio Park and little tourist shops. Air conditioning and hot water, pool. Lots of iguanas and lizards.

We stayed here during the Christmas vacation, 2015. Booked for two nights, and those two had to be the worst hotel experience we had in Costa Rica. When we checked in around 1pm hotel time, the front desk girl told us that you get an ocean view room, and we were interested. But the room we were put into had... More

This great location offsets any detractions the rooms might, which are few. This is right on the beach with a nice pool and very nice soda. The soda makes and awesome breakfast. I highly recommend it. There are few places in Manuel Antonio are right on the beach. This hotel is also reasonably priced.

Phenomenal location, as close to the beach as advertised, and we walked to the park as well. A bit expensive by standards of the area for a relatively rustic place--but location, location, location! Being able to walk to the beach and chill was great. We could have taken the bus to the park, though, so if that's your main draw,... More

The hotel is located on the main strip of beach-front hotels, bars, restaurants, national park, and therefore the area is very touristy. Everything is within walking distance (and down-town Quepos is a bus ride away for a more authentic experience of Costa Rica and it is only about 60 cents a bus fare). The staff is friendly and caring, they... More
