Stayed here June 10-13 (3 nights) with my husband, daughter and father in 2 rooms. The pros- the views in this hotel can't be beat, lovely pool, monkeys on my patio were amazing to watch, breakfast is a delicious buffet (included), and the service is extremely friendly and helpful. The cons-as others have mentioned, the rooms are sparcely decorated and...

We had the most wonderful weekend in a loooomg time. La Mariposa is an amazing and out-of-this-world hotel. From the warmth welcome till the last very detail, they blew our minds away. The breathtaking view, the friendly smiles, making us feel like royalty are just a few things we will always treasure from our visit to La Mariposa. We will...

La Mariposa was recommended to us by an acquaintance who has a home south of MA. We intended on staying only 2 nights and going to another part of the country for 2 nights. We ended up staying all 4 nights of our vacation there! We booked a garden view and upon arrival were upgraded to a beautiful partial ocean...

We stayed at La Mariposa as the last stop on our trip throughout Costa Rica and were very excited as it was our "splurge" hotel on our anniversary trip. When we arrived we were stunned by the beauty of the views from the restaurant/pool area and were equally delighted by the views from our full ocean-view room (which we were...

We really enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at this great hotel. Our view was amazing and the service was outstanding. They even fixed our flat tire. The infinity pool offered views of unique birds and howler monkeys. Sebastian even pointed out a bell ringing frog to us. The restaurant was great for lunch but overpriced for dinner.

Stayed 3 nights in a "deluxe" room with a full ocean view. The room's decor was very minimalist with cement walls and cement/marble floors. The room was very clean & comfortable. We were in room 59 and I believe we paid $229 per night. When we first arrived we were a bit taken back by the treatment we received by...

We stayed here for 6 nights earlier this month while on a fishing trip to Quepos. Enjoyed the stay, the hotel, the restaurant, and the courteous staff. The view of the Pacific from the hotel is truly outstanding. Also, the front desk personnel have the knowledge and expertise to accommodate all of your needs. In particular, Mr. Johannes Kohkemper was...

My (now) husband and I were recommended this hotel by two different people for our recent honeymoon visit to Costa Rica. We were so glad we took their advice. Everything was simply amazing, from the views to the service to the room. The bartender at the wet bar set us up on a fishing excursion one day, where we caught...

The views of this hotel alone earn it an excellent rating. The rooms were very clean. There isn't a bad view in the hotel. We saw monkeys from our patio as well as the ocean. The wet bar had a very friendly bartender. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly. The hotel is not really within walking distance to the...

We booked a partial ocean view and were upgraded to a full ocean view room upon our arrival (free of charge). We stayed in Room 46. Loved that we had a private entrance. The views from the room were excellent, although I would have considered our room a partial ocean view. When looking directly off the balcony it was mostly...
