Great location near a selection of bars/eateries, shuttle provided to the beach 4 times a day as too far to walk. This is the hotel to choose if you want amazing views; from the rooms, pool, restaurant... Beautiful sunset views too. Room was spacious and clean although not particularly modern. Food and drinks were good although not cheap. Staff were...

The views from the pool/bar areas are beautiful and the waitstaff was really nice. Great place to watch the sunset. The hotel grounds are really pretty. Unfortunately room #50 hasn't been updated in forever and the view facing the blazing morning sun, even at 6am is unbearable. The reception deck said she "upgraded us to a deluxe room"....not sure what...

This hotel was fantastic! Our view from the third floor was jaw dropping! Built high on a cliff, the panoramic view of the ocean and lush jungle , the gorgeous infinity pool , the sunsets.... just breath taking! Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included, and was very good with many options. Food and drink prices were a...

We visited La Mariposa Hotel Feb 19-23, 2017. Once we arrived and took care of the check in process we walked out to the restaurant and were overwhelmed at the sheer beauty that met our eyes! The hotel is lovely and well taken care of. The infinity pool is the absolute best place to watch the sunset. The hotel includes...

No complaints here. View was amazing. We had an ocean view room and couldn't be more pleased. Staff was friendly everywhere we went. Very helpful in making activity reservations. Breakfast is included and worth it. Great pool area just wish there was more seating in shade. Felt safe with guard preventing just anyone from parking there.

The hotel is fantastic with its 180 degree view of the Pacific Ocean. High marks for the breakfast buffet, infinity pool and rooms as well. The staff were friendly and above average. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance as well as a market. Will return!!

Cannot praise this hotel enough. Gracious and helpful staff, wonderful location, good food... a fabulous place to hang out, and a good base for day trips and adventures. We will be going back. Nothing to do with La Mariposa, but be warned that the sun is very intense and even a high-spf sun screen is not enough to protect a...

Cleanliness=5 Views=5 Amenities=3.5(wifi,multiple pools, restaurant, pool table, concierge) Pool=4 for adults 2 for kids Breakfast=4 Servers at poolside/bars=1 Wildlife=5 Other things to know: not convinient to beach. Walking to just about anywhere includes tough hills. But that has to be expected to get these views.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are large and the bathrooms are clean. The only criticism that I have of this place is that they don't allow non-guests to join them in their rooms. I'm not sure why this is the case. We met some friends in the city and were going to hang out, but that...

We stayed in room 54, right off the main building. LOVED this room, panoramic view of sea and jungle/land. The pool area was excellent. The restaurant was very good too. A beautiful place all around. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Yes, there were some tiny ants in the room, but this is a tropical place and that can...
