My girlfriend and I booked one of the Villa Deluxe rooms for a few nights in mid July 2016. Check-in/-out: We reserved online prior to the trip and check-in was very seamless. They gave us a couple key-cards to the room, showed us a map of the premesis and where our room was, where we could park our rental vehicle,... More

-The rooms were humid and smelled like mold. -The linens and pillows had stains on them and smelled dirty. -The food in the restaurant was not good (to say the least) and the service slow (in one occasion they took 45 minutes to deliver an order of french fries). -The only good thing is that the personnel is nice and... This was my family's 2nd stay at the Karahe, and my wife is a native Costa Rican. The standout of this property is its location, directly on beautiful Playa Espadilla and a short beach walk to the spectacular Manuel Antonio National Park. We had 10 monkeys with babies on their backs climbing above our heads in the trees as we... More

We stayed in one of the bungalows which was very comfortable and clean. All the staff were typically friendly and helpful in that wonderful Costa Rican way. The hotel location is fantastic, right next to a great and safe beach. On top of all this the hotel restaurant served grest food at a good price and is directly adjacent to... More

Stayed beachside for 3 nights, 4 days June 2016. Absolutely loved it. Exactly what we were looking for. First time to Costa Rica & would come back to this hotel again. Staff very friendly & helpful, clean rooms, fantastic restaurant, short walk to beach, good security and safes in each room. Close to tourist shops, activities (we took surfing lessons!).... More

We stayed in the villas at Karahe Beach. We're in shape, so the 92 steps up to the villa was just a bummer, not a major problem, and was paid back in a serious way by the gorgeous view. Office staff was polite and helpful. Breakfast was fine - eggs, cereal, toast, gallo pinto, fruits and something else (one day... More

This hotel looked fantastic on the internet but it definitely could've been better as I feel it needs close work and attention. The room was like it hadn't been touched for 20 years or more and our shower had an electrical fault causing an electric shock if you touched the shower head. Generally the rooms weren't comfortable and not up... More

The setting for this hotel is amazing-great view of the ocean at breakfast, ocean side rooms have a view of the tropical forest, beautiful pool area. We initially reserved a bungalow. The base camp for five days exploring in the area. Originally reserved a hillside room but the climb up/down to get to the restaurant, pool and beach was too much after spending five days hiking in the Talamanca Mountains at 8-11,000' elevation.
