I had some friends come down from tjhe U.S. to go fishing. They reserved us a room and after we checked in and got in our room we knew it was a major mistake. We had been out on the water all day and needed a quick shower.. As I was showering water started coming back up through the drain....

The hotel is nice, rooms do need an update furniture looks old but it has everything that we could expect from a hotel room. A/C, small tv and clean. Highly recomended for a 1 night stay, it's close to cafe and supermarkets. You get for what you pay.

I booked this hotel through a third-party site, which charged an additional $50 US/night for our party of 4 to have a room with two double beds. I admit this is my own fault for not reading the fine print, but I was astonished to discover that the owner of the hotel would think it fair to charge roughly $125...

Cons: AC suddenly stopped working. Wifi hardly worked in room. Okay breakfast. Pros: Staff was very courteous and helpful. Spacious rooms. Note: Will need to drive or take the bus to the beach or national park, not too far away.

Beautifully landscaped, clean rooms and excellent staff. Managed like a 'Mom & Pop' establishment, (which I think it is), but quality of service was top notch. Office staff spoke very clear English and understood my very poor Spanish. The continental breakfast(s) were delicious, (just wish they'd start a little earlier so we could have gotten an earlier start on our...

The hotel is quite humble but clean abs silent. The rooms were comfortable but the bathrooms somewhat small. The owner is super friendly and helps you a lot about places to visit or where to eat. I love pools at night and tried to enjoy it but there were no lights at all and too many fallen leaves that were...

We sit in the room on our 2nd night here. The air con from the room above is leaking onto our air con making a tapping noise every second. We have hung the quilt cover at the window as the curtains last night were appealing and are see through. Hot water has disappeared - how on earth that happened when...

I agree with Sara J review so won't repeat that but would like to add: Good value compared to other hotels in same area. Ideally located between Quepos and Manuel Antonio park entrance and within walking distance to very GOOD restaurants (ask Eric in office for suggestions). Bottled water and some snacks can be bought across the street. The room...

We stayed here for three nights. I liked the location the best. Walking distance to restaurants, pharmacy, and yoga studio. You could watch the sunset over the water at the restaurant across the street. The hotel is nothing fancy but it has a safe spot to park your car, free breakfast, and beautiful grounds (mango tree, star fruit tree, pool)....

Large well manicured landscaping, nice pool, comfy beds, pillows, ok price. Free Breakfast was rice&beans & toast, juice, coffee& fruit. Good location but one needs a car in M.A. for sure! The front staff not very friendly and always seemed annoyed with you, even when checking in. (Casino?...didnt see that there at all) Just up street, 2 min. Walk there...
