Great place, fully recommended, at night monkeys are everywhere!!! Great service, AC in the hotel was awesome, location couldn't be better, great people, good prices. Super market almost across the street.
This resort is amazing! A quick drive to the national park and walking distance to awesome restaurants. Visit aqua Azul directly across the street. We woke up to monkeys and parrots right outside our room! The employee's were welcoming and showed us great hospitality Huge shout out to Benny the bartender at Jolly Rogers the restaurant on site.
What a wonderful find. This was first trip to Costa Rica. Oliver, Elizabeth and Melissa were wonderful from booking to tours and assistance with taxi. The bungalow was beautiful and clean. Beds were so comfortable we slept well ready to get up and enjoy another beautiful day in Costa Rica. The porch was nice to hang out and watch the monkeys. We had an awesome experience with our friends Boyce and Lee. Definitely recommend staying here. Next to the pool was perfect place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great fresh seafood . Already thinking about the next trip. Charlie and Kim Vero Beach, Fl
My 13 nights at Byblos Hotel in Manuel Antonio is drawing to a close and I shall be leaving here with tears in my eyes. On arrival I was greeted by Olivier, the reservations manager, and he showed me my room once it was ready. What a delight! I had been upgraded to a bungalow prior to my arrival but I wasn’t expecting anything like this. The first thing that struck me were the huge patio doors offering a panoramic view of the stunning tropical forest and I could hear the bubbling of the stream running just below me as it snaked its way through the grounds. It was absolutely breathtaking. The room had a queen size bed which was very comfortable, adequate storage facilities, and a good size bathroom with walk-in shower. A safe, fridge, microwave and coffee machine were all provided free of charge. Wifi was good throughout the resort. My room was kept spotlessly clean although some of the towels and linen were a little tired. Breakfast was served by the pool. It was limited in choice and I found it a little repetitive but then my stay was longer than the average passing traveller. I also eat dinner there a couple of times and can highly recommend it. I rarely used the on-site Jolly Roger bar but it looked well patronised and is famous for it’s chicken wings! I went to bed early most nights to wake up at sunrise and listen to the sounds of the jungle coming to life. Within the grounds I regularly saw spider and capuchin monkeys and agouti. A pair of scarlet macaws had nested in the trunk of a hollow tree just yards from my balcony. They are now a family of 4 or 5 and I watched and heard them regularly in the mornings as they stretched their wings and flew around the gardens before taking off for the day with the sounds of the howler monkeys in the background. At dusk a black mandibled toucan came to roost every day on the tree directly across from my windows. I found myself having to choose between watching one of the most wonderful sunsets or seeing the toucan settle in for the evening. The hotel is close to lots of bars, cafes and restaurants within walking distance and buses run every 15 minutes from Quepos to Manuel Antonio park, with stops just 20 metres or so from the hotel for 335 colones (about 45p). I didn’t hire a car or use taxis during my stay as it wasn’t necessary; I had everything I needed on my doorstep. This was the perfect hotel for my stay; I couldn’t have chosen better. My thanks to all the staff who work tirelessly and especial thanks to Olivier for his kindness in allocating me a very special room for my stay. …
Our bungalow was clean, comfortable and quiet. But hands down the best part of our stay was the pair of scarlet macaws living in the tree outside of our balcony! In the evening we heard screech owls and in the morning we were able to see capuchin and howler monkeys, toucans and other wildlife right outside our room which was awesome! Staff was friendly and helpful.
