At Parador Resort & Spa, guests are consistently impressed with the pristine cleanliness and harmonious atmosphere, often noting the well-maintained grounds and serene surroundings that complement the spacious, nature-inspired rooms. The resort's location earns accolades for its breathtaking views and wildlife encounters, despite its seclusion from urban areas. While the array of amenities, including diverse pools and spa services, are a hit, some visitors mention the rooms can feel dated and the cost for meals and accommodations may stretch the budget for some.

We had amazing stay, very relaxing! Everything was great, stuff, pools, animals! A bit high restaurant prices, considering that you already pay a lot to stay here, but the food was good. We said 3 nights and wished we have stayed a bit longer.

Parador was a great experience for us! The surrounding property was beautiful, as was the view from our room. The room was large, comfortable, clean, and had beautiful bird pictures on the walls. The bathroom and toiletries and shower with drying line were just what was wanted. We sat on our balcony and watched monkeys and birds. The dining areas also had beautiful views, and the food was delicious. Our hotel bird tour was great with Elias as a most helpful tour guide. The pool was delightful and its picture in the advertising helped us choose Parador. The hotel arranged transportation to our hotel in Alajuela, and this was also very nice. We know we picked the perfect hotel. But equally as important was the staff. Everyone was professional, pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. When my husband became ill, staff from guest services came to the room with a thermometer, and then facilitated a doctor coming to the room. Dr. Maria Linzano of Quepos Urgent Care took wonderful care of my husband. Staff arranged the preparation of special food and delivered it to the room. Hotel Parador then deducted the cost of our prepaid night tour from our bill since we could not attend. This was a special vacation for us to celebrate my husband's 78th birthday. Everyone from reception to housekeeping made every effort to make our stay a good one. Muchas gracias!

I would love to give the resort 5 stars. In almost everything the parador resort earned high marks. However, they were working just under our room for half the time we were there, so the hammering and loud music were not conducive to relaxation. The grounds were lovely, the wildlife was wonderful. The people were very friendly and willing to help with anything.

This is an excellent hotel, wonderful setting, amazing wildlife (we saw a pair of macaws, sloths (including a newborn baby) and many more birds, reptiles and animals. All persons catered for… families, singles, couples. We loved the pool area, food, staff and setting. Thank you!

Being British, I’m used to a 5 star rating being given for excellent service as well as facilities, which isn’t the same all over the world. Parador is truly 5 star (we escaped another supposed 5 star to come!). Everything from the moment of booking was super efficient, the service was professional and friendly. They are proactive with their service, saw the maintenance men go in to check over before housekeeping! The facilities, food and environment are second to none. The wildlife in and around the hotel provided much enjoyment. Absolutely my favourite place out of the 5 we stayed in Costa Rica.

A perfect end to a great trip, we throughly enjoyed our stay at the Parador, and your reviewer echo's all the previous comments made. The all round service from the 'Front of House' to the 'Rear of House' was outstanding. A special mention to the team that moved the bags from reception to the rooms, in often mid thirties temperatures and 85% humidity. I take my hat off to you, well done guys!! The food was very good, with a choice of fine dining or the Bar menu to choose from , all dietary requirements were taken care of, and I did like the " Do you have any allergies?" before our order was taken. There are too many excellent dishes to mention here... so Enjoy! The breakfast buffet was superb as well. And to finish things off the views from the restaurant towards the Pacific were pretty good as well. Our garden room was perfect for our needs, and although we did have a couple of issues early on these were rectified quickly & professionally. Thanks to the Maintenance team. One of the reasons your reviewer visited CR was for the wildlife, and as per other hotels on our tour, the Parador did not let us down, from the endless stream of butterflies visible from our rooms small patio over the garden area. The team of Squirrel Monkeys that lived in the trees surrounding adults only pool. And the highlight of trip seeing a pair of very rare Scarlet Macaws in the Almond trees in front of the restaurant on our last morning, with out a doubt BIRD OF THE TRIP. If ever there was hotel that summed up 'You get what you pay for, then the Parador is it. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful stay. Highly Recommended

Outstanding rooms, service and location. Our one complaint concerns our tour of Manuel Antonio Park and the night walk at the Parador. Both were led by one of your trainees. While she is delightful person, she is not ready to lead groups on her own. Paying full price for a trainee led tour does not sit well with us. At a minimum, she should be mentored by a more senior guide until their two presentations are seamless in quality.

Great location, property attributes and condition, outstanding guest service, food, security and easy resort provided transportation from property to Manuel Antonio beach. We stayed on the fourth floor of the section of the property called Las Villas which had a phenomenal view of the ocean and a very comfortable spacious room.

Our stay at the Parador was exceptional, from the cold juice and cool towel at check in, friendly staff, and breathtaking views. We saw more wildlife here than we saw at our guided national park tours. There are extensive nature trails on the property where you will see several sloths (no telescope needed), white faced monkeys, howler monkeys, coati, agouti, birds, and butterflies. The combination of tropical and ocean views were wonderful. The restaurants offered some delicious food and the onsite store/gift shop and self service laundry were a bonus.

All the amenities, rooms, and food were tremendous. Plenty of room at pools and views from rooms were great. Perfect for family or couples getaway. Resort and staff were impeccable and made you want to stay onsite rather than go offsite for excursions. My wife and kids are ready to return!!
