We took a group of 17 college students for the weekend after a study abroad experience in San Jose. The hotel staff was exceptional especially Harold who greeted our group and had all the Keys arranged for a quick check in. Harold also secured a reservation at the wonderful restaurant on site La Galeria and was present to make sure everything was to our liking. Dinner was amazing and the service was great. It was a bit hot that night but that did not take away from the wonderful atmosphere. The shuttle service took our entire group near the entrance of Manuel Antonio Park and was right on time to pick us up to take us back to the resort. The pool was refreshing and the pool bar staff also exceptional. It would have been nice to have a bit more shade in the pool with some umbrellas but overall the pool was excellent with an amazing view. The gift shop was quite large and things were reasonably priced overall. The rooms were very nice and the A/C was wonderful. You can hear some noise from other rooms so make sure you are not too loud so as not to bother other guests. Breakfast was extensive even with a cook to order omelet station. Overall, this is a wonderful, spacious, relaxing resort with easy access to Manuel Antonio. Kudos to all staff members, especially Harold who was there to help our large group throughout the weekend.

Room was the best view I could have asked for, nice balcony.....outside tub also. Hotel has a very nautical theme, staff vere friendly and breakfast was great. A little bit of a drivers nightmare if you are not fond of hilly roads, though once at the location....best! Love the monkeys looking in the shower window in the morning!

It was our second time at El Parador, after our amazing stay last year we decided to visit the hotel every year for our anniversary... I can only say we made the right choice! The hotel it's quite romantic and has the most perfect views of the sea, but also the personnel is fantastic, I guess they only hire friendly and kind people there! We got upgraded to a suite as a gift for our celebration, and then got suprised by candles, chocolate covered strawberries, sparkling wine and a card in the room. There is no option but to love El Parador! The food is great and abundant, every single thing we had was delicious (breakfast, snacks, cocktails, dinner). We discovered the Monkey Trail on this trip (last time it was under maintenance) and we highly recommend it. It's quite easy to walk through it and it has an incredible view of the ocean. It's a great option for taking a short walk after breakfast. We also had quite a good time playing mini golf this time, followed by a great time at the pool. We'll come back next year, that's for sure!

After much research, we chose the Parador because of its Monkey Trail into their jungle reserve area. Very glad we did. Walked the trail almost every day and saw lots of wildlife: Howler and white face monkeys, agoutis, both species of sloths, owl butterflies, toucans, migrating land crabs, and those tiny green frogs. All before going into the Manuel Antonio NP. Weather was great for the rainy season. A couple rainstorms at night but no rain during the day. Not many mosquitoes either. Gifts in hotel gift shop were cheaper than the tourist place the bus stopped at. Staff very friendly. Musician was excellent and deserved a recording contract. Watched parrots and parakeets from the room's balcony. Food was excellent, though we weren't too demanding on that count. Buffet for breakfast, usually a tour or hike during the day and bar food for dinner. Did have a couple dinners in the dining room that were excellent, and the service was cordial. Large room and good working air conditioning.

The view was absolutely stunning! We visited two restaurants, "La Galeria" and "La Fragata". The latter boasted an incredible sea view that was truly breathtaking, and the food at both establishments was outstanding. The staff was all very friendly, and it was a nice touch that they offered complimentary transportation to and from "Espadilla Beach". One area for improvement would be the early closure of the family pool at 8 PM, which seems a bit too early.

This was our last hotel at the end of an amazing three week trip to Costa Rica. I knew beforehand that this was going to be large resort compared to the previous places we had stayed in during our travels, but don't let that put you off, because we had a wonderful six night stay here. The room, grounds and service was all top notch. We arrived on my birthday and were pleasantly surprised that we were upgraded to a lovely Vista Suite room. Once we had settled in we received a phone call to ensure we were happy and if there was anything we needed. That was a nice touch. We ate at the La Galeria every night, due to the quality of meals and the atmosphere sitting outside listening to live music. The service was wonderful all round, even to the groundsman that went out of his way to show us a Sloth close by in a tree. It all went to help make this a special place indeed. The beautiful gardens and layout never made it feel crowed and the wildlife all around was incredible, Sloths with babies, Toucans, Mcaws and Howler monkeys just to name a few. More than anything it was the service from all the staff, friendly, helpful and professional that made this an unforgettable stay.

Great experience, saw monkeys and a sloth that was closer than what we saw in the nature reserve. AC went out for a few hours one night and the room got a little warm before coming back on. There were Heavy storms that night and was only a minor issue one night. Great service and amenities, I would recommend to anyone!

This was a magical stay. It happened to be very warm for the area and they greeted us with a cool towel and some fresh juice during checkin. This detail set us up for magic the rest of our stay. We found a sloth in a mango tree and lots of monkeys on the monkey walk. I loved that they are trying to impact sustainability so the room lights and a/c turn on when you are in the room and put your key in and turn off when your key isn't in the door. The breakfasts with fresh fruits and delicious entrees were satisfying and the view over the ocean was breathtaking. We can't wait to go back.
