Sitting on a cliff at the end of a peninsula on the pacific costa rican coast, this is one of the best locations I have ever seen for a hotel. The views, especially in the evening, when you could look at the imensity of the Pacific and the approaching rain and thurnderstorm clouds on the horizon. were spectacular. The Hotel features a lot of wildlife: sloths, capuchine monkeys and several large iguanas. The food is absolutely great, and the staff are wonderful. Ideal for families as well as couples on a honeymoon.

Parador exceeded every expectation! The staff goes above and beyond to meet any need you may have. The grounds are amazing! You can view wildlife at all times of day within the grounds or on the monkey trail. The view is also wonderful overlooking the ocean. You can arrange all of your activities from the hotel. The activities staff are amazing and will help you organize any activity within your timeline and budget. Love this place. Don't forget to get up early or be up at the sunset deck at 5p to watch the scarlet macaws arrive back to their nests! SO COOL!

This place is really beautiful. With three pools and a beach not far you could stay for days without leaving the resort. We had selected a garden view room but was upgraded to a room with a better view but the room smelled like mildew and requested another change. They were accommodating and the room was better. The issue with the rooms is the humidity. They need to figure out how to remove the moisture to make the experience truly unforgettable. The breakfast was very good and everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Don’t use the beach access if it has rained as the ground will be muddy. Also wearing flip flops to go down the trail is not a good idea since the ground it uneven and can be slippery. The sloth can be seen hanging around the trees for picture taking. The laundry room is very convenient if you need to wash your clothes. There is a shuttle service that will take you to Manuel Antonio beach with access to the national park. Overall this place was good value and worth the stay.

Dear hautecouture63, We absolutely love the title of your review! We are truly blessed to share this oasis with such amazing wildlife. Recently, our reserve has also been chosen as the new home for rehabilitated sloths released back into the wild. We acknowledge that humidity is an issue when a property is immersed in the rainforest facing the ocean. The AC is turned on before check in, and we try not to keep it continually on due to energy saving initiatives. We are thankful you let us know about your concerns and we were able to resolve during your stay. Please come and visit us again very soon. All the best from the team at Parador Nature Resort & Spa

I made a last minute booking to stay here one night in between destinations within Costa Rica for work. I was told this is one of the "best" hotels in Manuel Antonio. Upon arrival, and going through the Covid protocols I was told that my room wasn't ready as I had made a last minute reservation. Mind you, this is probably with the hotel at 30-40% capacity in low season. I went up to the room after having a very mediocre meal in the restaurant. I had something masquerading as a pizza. The room itself is tired and needs refurbishing, The towels look like they are the originals from when the hotel opened. The shower door didn't close, and the shower head leaked - leaving a large portion of the bathroom wet. Then I decided to look for water, of course the hotel doesn't do mini bars because of Covid, and I really don't understand the logic. Then you have to call room service to get water brought up to the room. The phone didn't work, ultimately I went down to the reception, which is a hike, and they said they would come up and look at the phone and by this time I just wanted to get some rest. They sent me to the bar, where I paid a lot of money for a bottle of sparkling water. If you are not going to have a mini bar, at the very least, leave a small bottled water in the rooms- I don't think this is too much to ask. In conclusion, the staff was great, the room was tired, and you are overpaying, even at a discount in low season. Stick with smaller more intimate hotels in the area.

Dear hos2003, We are sincerely surprised by the title of your review, referring to the hotel´s infrastructure. If there was a problem with the shower head and towels, we wish the issue had been communicated while you were still in-house to resolve immediately. We do not offer water bottles in the room to reduce plastic consumption, and, because the water at the property is 100% potable, you may drink it directly from the tap. As for COVID protocol, we strictly follow the guidelines of the Costa Rican Health Ministry as well as international health entities, to safeguard our guests and collaborators during this worldwide pandemic. Sincerely, The team at Parador Nature Resort & Spa
