The best option to enjoy nature, fantastic food and service. Plus, an environmental project on premises that was the first of its kind in the region. Three pools, full breakfast included, the best restaurant in the area (and one of the few places where I had plenty to choose from because I am vegetarian). And the monkeys, and sloths, and... More

The grounds of the hotel was wonderful. I think we were on the edge of the preserved rainforest. From either balcony (we had two) of our little casita, we can watch toucans, monkeys, geckos, lizards, green parrots and a wide variety of birds with our naked eye. With our binoculars, we can spend hours there. The nights are noisy. Filled... More

Hotel Casitas Eclipse is a wonderful, secluded hotel just a short drive up the hill from the gorgeous beach at Manuel Antonio. Rooms were nice and located in a variety of buildings, with beautiful landscaped terraces and walkways, including an amazing trail through the rain-forest behind the hotel, which is actually part of the overall grounds. A very relaxing pool... More

The rooms have not been renovated for many years , old furnitures , appliances are not working , breakfast is bad . The only good thing is the outside . At check out they tried to charge our credit card with food expenses we never had ( we have been in the park with a guide that we have his... More

The hotel is not located at the beach with all the bars, fortunately! But it is at the road that leads there and the bus takes you every 15 minutes to the beaches and the entrance of the National Park, only 10-15 minutes away. Friendly reception. The rooms are not new, but functional and OK. Our room hat ventilators and... More

I enjoyed my stay here. We were looking for a decent hotel relatively close to the beach in Manuel Antonio. The grounds are like something out of "Night of the Iguana": bright white structures set in a tropical landscape, with iguanas everywhere. I counted dozens on the walkways, in pipes, on the lawn. The rooms were decent sized but nothing... More

...but not the best either. This hotel has a fabulous location, and is evidently a wonderful place to watch an eclipse. However, the accommodations were pretty run down, in need of an update. We were a large group and booked 13 rooms. Each one was very different. Most had a funky smell, and there were just general upkeep problems. There... More

This is not a bad hotel what's so ever. I read that the rooms were unclean and that there were lots of bugs so I was really worried until I got there. The room was clean and we didn't see a single bug in the room. Not one. The service was decent, not the best we received in Costa Rica... More

Overall fair, would not use again. Everything here was worn out. Kitchen appliances, towels, hardware were all dated and very worn. The hotel gardens and the rooms on the outside are gorgeous however the inside of them (even we were staying on a suite) looks like a different hotel. To make it worse a huge roach was inside the room... More

I booked this hotel during Easter week. The experience was great! It was well above my preliminary expectations. I read some previous reviews before my arrival that made me had seconds thoughts... but it turned to be a great experience among friends. (+) clean room (extra points!), (++) excellent food at El Gato restaurant, (+) mirror at the entrance (nice!),... More
