Bold in presence; playful in personality. Los Altos Resort Private Reserve & Beach is Manuel Antonio's premier laid back luxury boutique resort. The Los Altos aesthetic represents a sensitive integration between tropical authenticity and modern amenities. We offer 28 gorgeous private residences, each boasting a vivid Pacific Ocean view through floor to ceiling windows. Also, for a luxury resort in the heart of Manuel Antonio, our rates are very reasonable. Very reasonable, and you get a lot out of us, which we're happy about. We like to keep things simple.

My family and I had an excellent stay at Los Altos for 9 days in Jan/Feb 2020! Our huge 3 bedroom unit on the 7th floor was very comfortable, quiet, and well air-conditioned. The restaurant and pool were great! Most importantly, all of the staff members who helped us were excellent! That included the front desk, the restaurant, the pool bar, and the shuttle. We had a lot of fun interacting with everyone and they made us feel like a million bucks! Also, we will never forget the monkeys by the pool (especially one day with at least 15 including several infants) and the spectacular sunsets! I should also mention how much we enjoyed starting each day with breakfast at Karolas. I’m sorry that this review was delayed and that I might now forget a few important names. That being said, a special thanks to Dorlin, Andres, Cesar, Fabio, Lenin, Sara, Ines, Glen, and Ronald! Also to Efrain, who assisted greatly on our reservation! We hope that everyone is staying safe during Covid-19! We would highly recommend Los Altos and would love to return! Muchas gracias!!! -Harley, Leslie, Jaime, and Murray

Our family really enjoyed Los Altos. The kids spent hours in the pool. The sunsets on the beach are spectacular. It's feels like it was going to be a condo complex and became a hotel. The grounds are beautiful--with monkeys, parrots & sloths in the trees. The rooms are spacious with kitchens and great views. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. The food in the restaurant is 'meh' but it's convenient, and the hotel is close to other restaurants that are walkable. Our issue was that the elevator opens directly into the apartment. That seems convenient but the elevators don't seem to work properly so sometimes the elevator would randomly open and you'd see a bunch of startled guests on their way to another floor/room. This happened to us too. We'd hit the button for the ground floor or for our floor and the doors would open randomly to another person's room on another floor. This seems like a major safety issue. Still, it's a beautiful hotel in a great spot and I'd stay here again if they fix the elevator issue.

We returned as a family of five from Los Altos. What an amazing time! Here are the highlights: 1. Amazing and spacious rooms. We opted for the lowest level accommodation and still had a spectacular view of the ocean. 2. The suites are enormous. The pictures don’t accentuate the sheer size of the place. 3. Staff are incredible. We had dinner at Karolas and breakfast there every morning. Cesar at check-in was super friendly and genuine. Darlyn and Ines at the pool bar went out of their way to keep us happy. Happy hour was 2 for 1, and the drinks were about $8 regular price. 4. We had the pool to ourselves quite a bit but the guests were also very friendly. Very laid back vibe. 5. Wildlife was great. There was a sloth in the tree by the pool, and the monkeys came down to the pool twice during our stay to drink pool water and steal fruit from guests’ drinks. Our kids absolutely loved it. 6. Walking distance to several great restaurants. We also walked next door for dinner at Tulemar. I thought staff were friendlier at Los Altos, but we did see mama sloth with a baby climbing a tree next to our dinner table! 7. We did go to the beach one day, but we found the pool to be awesome and perfect. Los Altos is certainly expensive, but worth it, in my opinion. Also, we drove an hour south to Uvita and Dominical for the day. A great change of pace and fun little surfing towns. Highly recommend! Pura Vida.

We had a great time at Los Altos! Service was always friendly and the room was fantastic. Pool and views were also great. The kids enjoyed the pool, cooking classes and game room. Adults headed to the gym! Monkeys, sloth, toucans and more were easy to see on the property. Highly recommend!

Just arrived back home today after spending 9 truly incredible days there. It was my first time in Costa Rica,I will be back for sure to this beautiful resort.Every member of the staff are there to make sure your stay will be memorable.Just to mention a few Eli,Lenin,Dorlyn,Felipe,Inci,Esau & Oldemar were outstanding, keep up the great work .The size of the suites will take your breath away, having all the amenities you will need. We were able to view so much wildlife on the property including tucans,a sloth, macaw parrots,an ant eater & really cool pack of squirrel monkeys that came by the pool every day .There is a beach on the bottom of the property that has chairs to sit as well & if you don't feel like walking down or up to the beach they have a truck to take you. There were ample lounge chairs always available around the pool to sit at The food is great at Karolas, one of the onsite eateries I came back so relaxed Thank you Los Altos
