When I arrived there was a massive storm, so was drenched walking from the car park to reception. The receptionist was nice enough but quite as warm as I would have expected. My room was down a flight of stairs, which was slightly difficult with two cases whilst it was pouring! The room was very spacious, clean, and had everything you need (fridge, plastic glasses, balcony, outdoor loungers, small dining table, and comfortable beds). The bathroom could do with updating as it's looking tired, but the room itself was pretty well maintained. I went to the pool bar for a drink, the barman was very friendly but there wasn't much of an atmosphere (probably due to the rain). The cocktails made up for it (although on the pricy side after happy hour)! Traveling solo, I did feel a little uncomfortable at times with how the other guests acted toward me, but that's not a reflection on the hotel. The pool and grounds are very picturesque. Breakfast in the morning was great and again, very friendly staff. I'd definitely return, but perhaps not by myself.…
Excellent experience here. Wonderful staff, very clean rooms with great A/C, beautiful pool with lively happy hour. Great drinks and super bartenders. Music was just perfect volume! Delicious daily breakfast by pool (included) freshly prepared by wonderful staff. Will stay again!
What a beautiful setting and such warm hospitality too! Clean and with a wonderful view from its pool. I also loved the complimentary breakfast that was offered with a nice helping of fresh fruit! Definitely plan to stay there again when I return in two years time!
Very nice hotel, the room was clean and pretty big (superior room). Exceptionnal people working there, all the staff were amazing. The breakfast was amazing every day. I enjoyed the happy hour by the pool.
This was truly a perfect spot to stay for a quick getaway. The setting, staff and room all exceeded expectations. The pool area is the hub of the property, from delish Ish breakfasts to happy hour gatherings to late night hot tub soaks. Bartender Muriel stands out as the catalyst to keep the good times going. The room had a gorgeous view and well kept. And the venue was perfectly located to all park and beach jaunts, plus amazing restaurant choices throughout the area. I’ll be back!
My husband and I stayed 4 nights during April 2022. Pool is amazing with spectacular views. Drinks are fresh and served by the pool all day. Walking distance from hotel to many areas to visit and eat. Clothing optional is also available at the pool and hot tub area. Breakfasts served fresh every morning with amazing views as well. Will def be back to stay again. Met the owner who was a super nice guy and welcomed us to the property.
This is a place where I go at least 3 times a year. All people who work here really make you feel like being with friends, all of them have a great manner and such a good vibe with its visitors. I want to say thank you to Gerald, Fernando, Kenya, Rosita, Miguel, Mauriel, Johanna, Alicia, Jaret and all the staff. All rooms have such a great view, they provide shampoo and body gel, beds are pretty comfortable, breakfast is delicious and satisfying and the swimming pool is the best with that view. Thank you guys for all your excellent attention :)
We stayed twice in the hotel this year, the infinity pool is spectacular with sunset view. Bar at pool offers great cocktails. Large rooms with AC and large showers with hot water. Excellent beddings, and sheets. Great room service, good selection of breakfast and delicious fluffy pancakes, Fully recommended,
We stayed for 2 nights. For $270 a night there isn't even a hairdryer or coffee in the room. Very basic furniture. No mosquito nets on the doors and poorly locked windows means insects getting inside the room. Music blasting from the pool until 10pm, one night even had a DJ that made it impossible to stay in the room as it was deafening. Dogs from the neighbors barking day and night, loud air conditioning units. Cigarette smoke from other guests makes it unpleasant and disgusting to sit on the balcony. The guy at the reception shrugged it off telling us it's the only gay hotel so they can charge these prices for a sub par hotel. He told us to go to the pool which was his rude solution. Many other better options in town for a lot less money than this bad place.
We discovered this place accidentally after already checking into another hotel. Nevertheless, we asked the management whether we could enjoy a drink at the pool. They were happy to have us and gave us towels and offered us a swim as well. The view is stunning, and the people are friendly. We had a naked swim at sunset, and really enjoyed ourselves. We actually came back the next day and enjoyed cocktails in the hot tub, also naked, and also with a spectacular view of the sunset. I'm not sure if Villa Roca does much advertizing their pool at happy hour to non-hotel guests, but they should.
