I came to this resort for a solo birthday trip. I was turning the big 30 and had no one to travel with me so after doing extensive research, I decided on this resort for my first solo trip. It was the BEST decision I could’ve made. From the moment I stepped off the plane I was amazed by the customer service with my flight transport. It did take a little while to get to the resort but I didn’t mind as I was taking numerous photos and enjoying the scenery. Check in was a little of a hassle, but not due to the resort. My flight got cancelled numerous times (go figure Spirit) and I booked my stay through a third party and the third party was still trying to charge me for the additional day I wasn’t there. Luckily the manager at the front desk took care of everything for me! My room was amazing!! I had never seen a hotel room like it before (I will attach photos). It was spacious, clean, and I had a phenomenal view. This is an all inclusive resort so each night I would switch up which restaurant I would eat at (The breakfast selection was always my favorite part of the day). On my last night, I ate at the Italian restaurant. The staff sung Happy Birthday and completely went out of their way to make my night special. During the duration of my stay, I booked a few excursions. The concierge manager Mr Kelvin Flores was patient with me and gave great recommendations for last minute excursions. Finally, I booked horseback riding in the rainforest (Where the final destination was a waterfall that we were able to jump in) and ATV riding. This was the most beautiful experience I’ve ever encountered. I also met some of the most amazing people during my trip. My birthday trip was a success and it was all because of every single member at Croc’s Resort. I was very hesitant and nervous traveling in a new country by myself but I felt relieved after my stay here. I definitely recommend this hotel/resort 100% and whenever the COVID restrictions lift as far as traveling, I will definitely be going back to Costa Rica and staying at Croc’s! Thank you to everyone there for making my birthday a memorable event for me! (Update: unfortunately I can’t post videos but those were where my waterfall and rainforest recordings were) -Latesha K 💞

My brother and I were looking forward to staying here while we were in Jaco; however that never happened. I booked in November for a trip in February, and January I received an email from Croc's asking me to review my stay. Obviously I hadn't stayed there yet and was concerned so I called the hotel. I was told in short order that the mistake was mine, because their booking system doesn't make mistakes, and that the reservation was non refundable ($250 a night). After that I was instructed by a manager to write Croc's an email taking responsibility for MY mistake, and ask them if they could work with me to correct MY mistake. I could't believe the arrogance of this manager. I guess it was easy for her to be arrogant since they already had my money. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I strongly advise against ever booking with this resort. We were supposed to travel from the US to Costa Rica and stay there this month. They have closed the resort, flights are cancelled, and the entire East Coast is on lockdown and yet they are refusing to issue a refund - claiming we chose non refundable at booking. The won’t return calls. It’s criminal that they would keep money for a booking while they’re CLOSED during our stay during a PANDEMIC!

Let’s start with the positives...everyone working at Crocs who I had the pleasure of meeting was wonderful, helpful and pleasant...and at one point I had a few conversations with the people working at the front desk with a challenging problem. They were very helpful and never made me feel like I was giving them a hassle....more on that later. We booked a side trip with the Concierge who was knowledgeable and booked us with a reputable company. We ended having a great day exploring Manuel Antonio National Park. We had the chance to visit all of the restaurants at the hotel and had fantastic meals at each one. The breakfast buffet was huge with more offerings than most hotels....a crazy amount of great fruits, breads/ pastries and a wide selection of hot items. Fantastic! The pool area was very nice but being a bigger beach fan I attempted to walk along the beach....holy hot sand! Bring shoes! There’s no way you can walk on the sand without shoes. When we first arrived I wondered why no one was on the beach....then I found out, the sand is HOT! The hotel does not offer chairs on the beach, unlike some other hotels in Jaco. Back to the pool! Now here is why I got to meet the very nice people at the front desk....after we first checked in I walked in my room and immediately knew I was going to have to change rooms....the room was seriously damp with a strong musty/ moldy smell. Last time I stayed in a room that smelled that moldy (at a different hotel) I ended up getting a lung infection as a parting gift. I wasn’t going to risk that again! I went to the front desk to request a room change and was politely given another room. That room, although somewhat better still wasn’t great. I decided that I could manage but after 1 night in this room I knew there was no way I could stay there for another 4 days. In the morning I went back to the front desk and requested another room....just for the record, 2 room changes is a record for me! I’m really not that picky but I discovered the 2nd room to also be too damp and musty smelling....trust me, sleeping on damp sheets is not a fun experience! My next room was on the 10th floor and this is when one of the staff members told me that the higher rooms have better air conditioners and are much more dry. Pro-tip people....ask for a room on the 10th or higher floor!! You will be happy you did.

Thank you for joining us during your time in Jaco. We're thrilled to pass along your kind words for our fantastic team, and it's great to know our delicious dining options were a highlight of your stay. Unfortunately, having beach chairs and similar amenities on the beach is prohibited by the municipality unless the property receives a permit. A limited number of permits are allocated in each area and we have not been successful in acquiring one at this time. Your constructive notes regarding AC have been noted as we continually improve, and we look forward to delivering an even better experience when your travels bring you back our way.

and great food! Cocktail for $1 at the casino, and casino machines also treated me well. Golf club just few minutes away and bus stop is walking distance (270 colonies maybe .50 per person, they might also take $1 if you dont have colonies). It was worth the short ride to Herradura, 45 minutes one way ride. I highlyrecommend this resort. ELEANOR
