At the very north end of the beach it’s a nice morning walk into town. Not very crowded and staff was extremely nice amd informative. Security was on point as we were immediately challenged in the pool area for not having wrist bands (Costa Rica loves their wrist bands- at one point we had 4 different colours on!). Casino is closed- but I’m not a gambler anyway so no big deal. Pool is beautiful and excellent service and food poolside. TIPS- always bring cash to tip. And always tip- dollars are fine too. Just keep your wristbands on. They will replace at front desk, but someone will always be looking at your arm. Make reservations for breakfast daily if you want - you don’t automatically get in. Tell them when you want room service- it isn’t automatic. Check under your beach chair for giant lizards. As I’m writing this a 2-foot iguana just popped out from under the chair next to me and took off towards the tree line.

Room Tip: Recommend Kokos for lunch down the beach- great fresh fish and burgers! Night can be a bit sketch...

My 2 friends & I - all ladies in our mid-40s - chose Crocs based on reviews, cost & proximity to the beach. We knew the casino was closed (which was fine) but we were still overall disappointed. The grounds are well maintained but the building needs some work. Outside needs a serious pressure wash & paint. The room was clean on the surface but the front of the bath vanity clearly had not been wiped down in some time as the handles & front surface had toothpaste & other spots on it that wasn’t from us. The spa was closed but there are signed posted all over about making reservations. If it’s closed - take them down. We paid in advance for breakfast ($20pp) but when we were given a menu, nothing was more than $15 & honestly it was not very good. My friend ordered scrambled eggs & sausage & got runny eggs with a hot dog… I wish I had taken a picture. It was either Vienna sausages or a hot dog cut in half. We ended up going elsewhere for breakfast the rest of our stay. The best part was by far the pool/bar. The drinks were good, the male servers were spot on (especially Gabriel) & the food was good. The one female server seemed to just be there to collect a paycheck. The men were friendly but not flirty or inappropriate - just attentive servers. The pool was nicely maintained & the perfect temp. There were only a handful of people at the pool which was nice. Overall though, not impressed. Croc’s is at the end of a road that is a bit sketchy coming in but it’s gated so it’s secure. The beach is dark sand & rough, but that’s Jaco. We drove into town & we weren’t impressed with the town. Had lots of possibly homeless begging for money & it’s not clean. Food was so-so. So overall won’t be back to Jaco. Definitely Manuel Antonio & Fortuna (beautiful) but not Jaco. And certainly not Crocs. Lots of potential but the building & food just need some work.

Dear guest, We hear you loud and clear on the building, in the spring we had our building power washed which managed to leave it looking in need of paint. Because it was the wet season we were unable to begin the painting process until this month. Painting in the rain or on a wet concrete is not recommended. But much to our happiness the painting process has begun! It's important to know thqt if you book your room on our official website you get a free breakfast. Most of our breakfast reviewers rate that quit high but we're sorry it didn't please you. We agree one of the best features of Croc's is the pool and we're happy you enjoyed it. Many of our guests enjoy Jaco's vibrant night life and large offering of beachfront restaurnts and also the great shopping and close proximity to San Jose. Pura Vida!

Crocs was a fabulous experience. The staff at the hotel are so genuinely nice and really care about you having the best vacation possible. Everything they do is above and beyond, they get to know you right away and are very attentive - every staff member that works there is amazing. The location is perfect - right on the beach which is stunningly beautiful, and close to downtown Jaco and restaurants/nightlife. Our room was perfect, super comfortable, clean, and a great view. The resort itself had great breakfast and the poolside bar/restaurant was my favorite for lunch. I highly recommend to anyone whether it be couples or even families to come and visit Costa Rica and if you’re looking for exceptional five star service this is your place to stay.

Rooms are very nice & comfy. Friendly staff & good food. Right on strip with tons of food & bars. Taxi usually cost 2 to 3 usd to get anywhere on the strip. I think the most I paid was 5$ for taxi. Didn’t get to enjoy the pool much, because it’s rain season, but I believe that ends soon. Casino is still closed due to Covid restrictions. If you’re coming to Jaco to party, please be aware that all clubs & restaurants close at 10 pm. However they have some pretty cool after hours if you can find them, they’re usually held at a private location, but ppl are out promoting them. Overall I enjoyed this hotel
