We stayed with our two kids for a week and found the hotel staff to be very accommodating. We requested a bigger family room after our first night and were offered a better and more updated room that we liked. Our kids loved the pools in the courtyard and the daily breakfast ritual. All the staff members were very friendly and helpful. We met Victor, the owner, who was onsite and very approachable to guests. He recommended and even took me to a local physical therapist when I needed help! We really enjoyed our time there!

Excellent service, good breakfast.
Quiet space to stay, very nice owner Victor and his wife, super friendly staff, clean rooms. Located walking distance to beach.
Owner down to earth guy always trying to help so really great hospitality.
Some rooms have kitchenette so if you on budget cooking is optional.
Walking distance to Italian store, or big market, or restaurants.
Activity centre just around corner, beach restaurants all in walking distance from hotel.

Very comfortable place. The breakfast is MEH, but the place is very pleasant. The rooms are comfy (with AC), quiet, there are two swimming pools in a beautiful garden where you can see iguanas roaming around. 5 minutes by walk from the beach, which is quite ugly but perfect for surfing. The owner is very kind and offer free transportation to the bus station. Recommended!

Room is dark and dingy with weird smell. Bedsheets have stain marks that the front desk said is ‘normal’. We paid $200 for 2 nights stay and they cannot even include towels with the stay. They will charge you $15 for the towels used in the room. $100 a night Is not cheap and they cannot even include TOWELS in the stay?? Ridiculous.

Booked a 3 night stay through hotels.com. Upon check in was taken up stairs to corner unit facing street with woods creek on other side of road. Room was dilapidated old smelled of mould and dark. Might be listed as value but not worth $10 per night. We informed hotels.com they contacted the owner and he not allow us a refund for our balance of 2 nights. Suggest avoiding this run down old smelly hotel. Not safe with people coming up from the creek/ravine . Breakfast was also below average which was included .
Buyer Beware other value hotels close by that are a huge upgrade from this so called value hotel.if there was a no star option this hotel qualifies.

I would like to say wonderful things about this hotel, but I can’t.
Here is the good: 1). The location is good. It’s a quick walk or drive to the main street with lots of bars snd restaurants. 2). The grounds and pool area are lovely. The hotel had many Costa Rican families as well as foreign visitors. There were lots of kids who behaved beautifully at the pool. 3). The staff was very nice. Breakfast was not a buffet and there were three daily choices that were the same each day but very good.
The bad: our room was very dated, dark, and filled with old, large pieces of furniture. The bathroom was incredibly ugly and need a total remodel. The towels provided were in terrible condition. A bit of freshening up of this property would go along way to making it a wonderful hotel. It has tremendous potential.
Not the hotel’s fault: a young woman came by our corner room to make a phone call. The rooms are accessed on the outside, and each room has some outdoor seating. She looked into the window as I was dressing, and then proceeded to sit down on my wet clothes outside on the chair drying in order to make a phone call. Really? What was she thinking? This is just a side comment and nothing to do with this hotel. I don’t understand people screaming outside of hotel rooms or running up and down the hall and slamming doors. I always appreciate a soft closing door.

Oh my goodness! This hotel is a true gem. We went there for one night as we were visiting a couple of friends in the area. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite . informative and accomidating. We arrived a few hours before check in and our room was already cleaned so he allowed us to check in early. Parking is a tiny walk down the secluded street with a locked gate. The grounds are quaint and have seating for children too around the pool, foosball and sweet lounge area with couches outside. The grounds were well taken care of. Two pools and a jacuzzi in the center court. It is quiet and clean. Breakfast is included--you pick your meal the night before and your seating time. I didn't want to leave! Comfortable and family friendly.

This was a great little find and if you're looking for a family friendly hotel with no frills this place is a must.

A beautiful welcome area with more than plenty relaxation areas, it is a very warm and friendly place.

Dutch owned, the staff were amazing and went out of their way to accommodate us.

The hotel is two mins from the main centre but far enough away to be distant from the noise.

Really enjoyed our stay here

The staff was very friendly. Needs a little updating but a great one night stop. The breakfast was average. Their bacon is not like our bacon in the US but other than that I have no complaints. The 2 pools were great. It had 2 swimming pools a kiddie pool and a hot tub.

Very nice place and even better service. We used this place quite often and always has been great. We will be back soon. Good rates, good size rooms. Nice and quite part of Jacó, which is good if you traveling for work. Walking distance from good places to have something to eat or have a drink.

About 2 blocks. I like it because it is close to everything, but far enough away from “party places” to be peaceful. Great place!

The “hot tub” is not heated in the way most are in the USA. It is slightly warmer than the two swimming pools The jets are powerful, but compared to a hot tub you are use to, you would find it not the same, A great place.
