My wife and I just returned from the Osa Peninsula on a package we arranged with Harvey and Susan. This was our first time traveling with a pre-paid package, and could not have hoped for a better experience. All of the arrangements and tours worked like clockwork from the moment we arrived in Puerto Jimenez. We stayed at three lodges,...

Accessible only by boat, Saladero is owned by Susan and Harvey, the most warm and knowledgeable couple. Stayed in the Beach House, a beautiful large space with two bathrooms overlooking the Golfo Dulce. The gulf can be explored with the kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkeling gear available for guests. Private coves with coral reefs are great destinations. Don't miss the...

Our family, including or two sons, 22 and 26, stayed with Harvey and Susan at Saladero Ecolodge in January of this year (2017) as a part of an adventure tour with Tropical Sea Kayaking. There are several lodging options, cabins and tents, and we stayed in the "Glamping Tent Cabins." They were the perfect accommodation for us 'rugged types', very...

Susan and Harvey have an amazing place which is a 20 minute motorboat ride from anywhere. The rainforest is in their backyard so when you walk 45 minutes worth of trails behind their place, you run into peccaries, monkeys, different butterflies and many beautiful birds. The food is well thought out and delicious, especially for a vegetarian like me, but...

Spent a couple of nights at Saladero and I wish that we had stayed longer. The location is certainly a great spot to situate an ecolodge, with the coast at your doorstep and the Jungle in your backyard. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained with a diversity of plants and trees with all of the corresponding birds and butterflies....

My 20 year old daughter and I had a wonderful time in our week at the Saladero Eco Lodge. Susan and Harvey are knowledgeable, caring, interesting hosts and the rest of their staff are as friendly and helpful (especially Paulina, the cook). Every aspect of the experience is dedicated to sustainability and a care for the natural world. We loved...

Saladero's location is just about as perfect as anyone could possibly conceive--a tropical bay surrounded down to the water on either side by primary and secondary rain forest. An opening (previously this was a pineapple and other plantation) for the lodge facilities allows and encourages the local wildlife to walk in or hang around on the fringes. Truly magnificent spot!...

When planning a first time trip to Costa Rica for my son and I, I chose Saladero Eco Lodge for the first stop of our adventure. This turned out to be the best decision of the entire trip! From the moment Harvey met us at the airport in Puerto Jimenez, we knew we were in for something magical. The boat...

Saladero Eco Lodge was our second stay for this trip to Costa Rica, and we stayed 6 nights. We were greeted by Susan immediately upon landing at the beach, and given refreshing local fruit juice and lemongrass tea. She did a brief tour of the common area and then showed us to our snug cabin, with promises of a grounds...
