Very nice hotel, small but cosy. Great rooms, clean and comfortable. Amazing pool and good looking facilities according to town history. Breakfast included but is not varied, few options available. Overall I recommend as the best hotel in Golfito Area
The accommodations were lovely and comfortable. The front desk service was attentive, accomadating and friendly. I loved the local art lining the hallways. A nice respite from driving and appointments. The pool was clean, attractive and large enough to swim laps. The restaurant service was good, the food was mediocre, but not overpriced. I went for dinner at 6:30 ish. There were 2 middle aged couples and myself. No other customers in the pool or bar restaurant area. The music was very loud, disco lights, etc. No one was dancing, just straining to hear each other. It was not conducive to a relaxing enjoyable dinner. I love to dance, but it was not the right time or crowd for the music and lights. I will stay here again, requesting a room away from the restaurant area, and dine elsewhere. Wish they could read their clientele and respond appropriately. I rarely review negatively, but the place is very classy except for the forced disco scene. The music is audible from my lovely room at 10 pm ( Just when the party starts in Central America). I have to awake at 5:30 am. Ughh!…
Our stay included a short time at the pool. The pictures on the website are much nicer than the actual pool area. Our pool stay was interrupted by a group of about 12 men who "took over" the area. Loud music blaring from their "synced speakers", walking around the pool carrying beer bottles (lucky no one dropped a bottle) and smoking in, yes "IN" the pool. Not one staff member asked them to stop. Stayed on a Saturday night and they had a live band playing until after midnight. We are on the main floor and the band was across the street but was so loud we could not sleep. Went to the check in desk at 23:40 and there was no one at the desk for the evening hours. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel is difficult to find and there is nothing near the hotel. There are a number of dining options within a short car ride. Probably not go there again on a Saturday night.…
Visited the restaurant as a non-resident with two other friends Friday 22nd November. No flavour whatsoever on the prawn starters, one of the main courses was very cold and had to go back and two of the other meals were very poor. I was warned by a local that the restaurant was poor but we thought we would give them the benefit of doubt and try it as it was convenient. Wish I had not..
We stayed here for a night to fulfill the minimum requirement to shop at the free zone. The hotel is fine, staff is friendly, food was really sad. What keeps this from getting five stars is that the mattress was so soft and the pillows so terrible that we both woke up in horrible pain in the morning. Our room also did not have any soap, and the front desk agent let us know the hotel ran out and they were not sure when they would have more. I’ve never heard of a hotel running out of soap. In any case we found a housekeeper who was nice enough to get us a piece of soap from another room. Thank goodness this was only one night.
