We had two nights Rafiki Safari Lodge.
The journey to the lodge was an adventure in itself. Back in October there had been massive rains and much of the landscape had changed on the river. The last part of the road had been recently craved...More
This was our first trip to Costa Rica, and we chose to stay at Rafiki because our well-traveled friend recommended this place as her favorite place in the world. We stayed at Rafiki for the first 3 nights, and we loved it so much that...More

We stayed in December with our three young boys and we all absolutely loved it. The tents are amazing and very comfortable. The slide into the pool kept the kids amused for hours and the jacuzzi was a massive hit too!

Owned by biologists, this is a family place with amazing tours, lodgings and food. The luxury tent is a definitely not a hotel but you get to sleep with the jungle sounds lulling you to sleep and no mosquitos. Amazing white water rafting, and the...More

The Savegre Valley brings cool breezes from over 12,000 feet down to the camp, so it is quite pleasant at night. Rafiki is not really all that buggy. You will find the beaches in the country to have more bugs. We (unfortunetaly in my opinion) have improved the internet at the lodge. You don't have to tell your kids, but yes there is good quality wifi. I prefer to see family play cards, engage in conversation with other families, sit in the hot tub and watch the stars, or go down the slide at night (yeooow!).Let me know if you have any other questions! Sincerely, Lautjie
