I had reservations about booking this place as it was so much cheaper than all the lodges I looked at but I would happily recommend. The hotel itself is very simple - we stayed in a family room with a double 2 singles and a pull out. The room was relatively small but scrupulously clean and Tortuguero is about getting...

Centrally located with a nice dock. Good breakfast, and early morning coffee is a nice touch. Staff very friendly and helpful. I stayed in the front room at the top (I think #7?) which was one of the more expensive ones. It was a nice light room with views over the river. It was quite small with no space for...

We were there during the annual festival, and were very lucky to find a room here. The first night we slept in room 1 on the street side and it had 2 personbed and 1 single bed. Not really spacey, but enough for us. The shower/bathroom was clean. The 2 following night we moved to a different room (nr 5),...

The friend I stayed here with thought it was great ... I wasn't so convinced ! The decking is very nice - it's lovely to be able to sit out and watch the sun set across the water. The location is great too - in the town, with everything within easy walking distance. And I liked that they had coffee...

We had a cute room that was very comfortable for the two of us. We loved the deck that is right over the canal, where you can have a coffee and watch the boats. Wonderful night tour to see the turtles nesting and the morning canal tour was amazing. Both led by Roberto, a very experienced guide. Really convenient to...

If you'd rather experience the small village of Tortuguero than the larger "people-moving" resorts along the canal, Casa Marbella is a great alternative. Their staff was friendly and helpful from my first contact with them via email, through travel and tour arrangements, to final goodbyes. Our room was upstairs on the street side, small but clean and comfortable. There was...

The hotel is perfectly located in Tortuguero. You can walk to all shops and restaurants, the boat dock, and even to Tortuguero parc. The rooms are different in size. We had a large one on the waterfront and a smaller one with a window at street side. The place is clean, but noisy, and has a beautiful deck at the...

Cute hotel on the main Tortuguero canal. Daryl arranged for us a very interesting boat tour to the national park which is really closeby. We spotted several species of birds, a snake, a few caymans and plenty of monkeys. Definitely recommended!

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Marbella very much. They were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and very nice, we loved the breakfast and the chairs on the terrace with canal view. Thank you very much!

Simple, clean and very friendly. Ideal spot for kids. Went on a tour at 5.45am with local guide Raphael, he was a gold-mine of fascinating information and we spent an unforgettable 3 hours travelling through the waterways spotting wildlife. Weather was kind so we were lucky enough to see caiman, monkeys, sloths, tamandua, turtles and a plethera of different birds.
