we stayed here in Early Feb 2017, it needs to be kept in mind this is remote, water access only. No internet, sat. phone for emergencies, clinic about 40 minutes by boat. The rooms have no air-conditioning, but in Feb it was a non issue. We left the room open and slept very well indeed, frog out side the room...

wonderful location where you can wake to the sound of monkeys, frogs etc. The staff were charming and the buffet style food excellent. Loads of wildlife to be seen. The only thing that was lacking was some sort of drying room- being rainforest, the rain was torrential and it was impossible to wash anything and get it dry. We would...

We did the 4 day 3 night tour to Turtle Beach Lodge which I would recommend. It was nice to have the extra day (as opposed to the 3 day option) to relax and enjoy the grounds before heading back. Our guide Ricardo was absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I are still talking about him! His genuineness, passion for his...

The lodge provided a perfect retreat for a relaxing vacation. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The food is always good and includes regular vegetarian options. The staff are always friendly and professional. The grounds are well cared for and beautiful. It is so much fun to watch the monkeys and the variety of birds while walking the grounds....

We signed up for 3 days 2 nights.... It was awful service!! The website promised a tour of a working banana plantation.... If you consider pulling over on the side of the road and the "guide" stating a few facts a tour, then so be it. Guide was very unwilling to answer questions for the entire three days. First morning...

The other reviews have said it all. This provided us with our most memorable stay in a tour of CR. It is a brilliant place to stay in an amazing location. Meals were served en masse and were fine. A nice touch was tea, coffee and water on hand 24/24.

This lodge was paradise on earth! It was amazing to stay between the jungle and the beach. We were welcomed to the lodge with delicious tropical juice cocktails and while walking to our room (after being there just a few minutes) were greeted by a baby monkey on its mama's back just above us in the trees. Magical! We took...

The lodge was immaculate. The food was fantastic. The transportation and guide were awesome. The staff were some of the friendliest and engaging people ever. The ambiance and location where the ocean meets the rain forest made for a perfect balance of harmony, relaxation and education. All round 100% satisfaction!!!

If you are looking for a remote location to unplug and unwind, then this is the place. We were greeted at our hotel by our guide Bryan - who is amazing!! We boarded the bus from San Jose and it takes about 3 hours, you stop halfway for breakfast and then arrive at the port to board a boat. The...

We had a great time at Turtle Beach Lodge in January 2017. The pick-up from our hotel was seamless, and Daniel (Danny) our guide was very professional and personable. We enjoyed having everything handled for us. We had travelled around Costa Rica for two weeks prior to heading to the lodge, and we found it really restful and peaceful there....

Turtle Beach Lodge, 5 miles north of the town of Tortuguero, is a secluded resort spanning 175 acres with miles of jungle trails, a meandering private canal, and a half mile of beach adjoining still more isolated beaches. The lodge accommodates approximately 80 guests; assisted by a well trained staff and guides who ease you into an exciting jungle experience.
