It is, to paraphrase one previous reviewer stated, a cross between Disney's Jungle Cruise and a Costa Rican resort. Monkeys swing overhead during breakfast (the coffee is wonderful!) and sloths sleep quietly overhead. Good food and lots of fun activities. Great place for a family vacation!

I loved that we had to arrive via a 2 hour boat transfer, it was great to view the stunning scenery on route. A tropical welcome of cool towels and cocktail upon arrival then straight into a simple buffet lunch (food here is buffet style). Our lodge was large and offered great views of the gardens and local jungle. Simply...

I cannot say more how much I loved his place! Talk about being off the map! It's a cross between Disney's Jungle cruise ride and Costa Rica's version of Venice, Italy! From the time they pick you up in San Jose, to the time they drop you off, they are touring you. Never once asked for a tip! You really...

This lodge was reached by a small boat along a river. The landing was at a small pier which led through jungle gardens. The lodge rooms were comfortable, basic rooms with a rather quaint en suite. There was an outside verandah with limited seating. The grounds were beautiful with a couple of jungle trails. The pool was large with seating,...

We spent 2 nights here and would have enjoyed a longer stay. Accommodation was in 4 bedroom cabins in lush surroundings. Rooms were comfortable and spacious with good shower facilities. A good choice of food was on offer, buffet style, and the restaurant was pleasant and decorated beautifully with fresh flower arrangements. We took advantage of the night time turtle...

Stayed here for two nights as part of Thomsons grand tour of Costa Rica. The accomadation is very basic with no air conditioning and no proper windows, however this was not much of an issue at night as we found it cool enough to get some sleep. There is also a gap in the roof so you will be able...

Good lodge on the main canal opposite the town and in a nice jungle setting. well located for seeing the national park. Rooms comfortable but no air-con just fan which I found adequate. Good bar and pool area. Food in the restaurant was a bit disappointing but it was crowded and I am not a lover of buffets. The company...

Unfortunately we visited when Hurricane Otto was in the area so we experienced excessive amounts of rain and the river level rose during our stay. It is an interesting site with lovely grounds. However the lack of glass on the Windows meant we were very damp and the gaps at the top of the rooms ensure you clearly hear conversations...

The grounds are lush and full of birds and monkeys. The river is nearby and also a great view. Our room had no cross ventilation or AC, so was warm and stuffy. It was also far from the public areas. The restaurant was awful. Very limited selection of food on a buffet, and we were served exactly the same soup...

Located in the Rain forest reachable only by boat this iş something so different that you have to experience it. We had excursions with a very knowledgeable guide in the forest, along a river and to the turtle beach at Tortuguero town. Now, after hurricane Otto I just hope most of the place survived.
