Managers do NOT know concepts of customer satisfaction, service or investment: Right location, but totally wrong management. Likes: Large space; hearing the birds at dawn, having a kitchen. The two lone employees. Everything else: threadbare sheets, very bad mosquito screens (they ate me alive), long standing, unaddressed plumbing problems like almost no water, unsafe bathroom, dirty walls painted the cheapest possible way, and the certainty the next traveler that ambles their way will face exactly the same. Many businesses in town are very nice. Not this one. Know slumlords? This one is slumbeachlord. Could spend less on their expensive wheels to keep a decent place. Totally misleading ratings.

Quite, secluded and at same time one minute from town by car or easily reached walking. Clean though not sterile. Large two bedrooms apartment with salon and kitchen. Could do with a larger TV screen,a repaint and minor repairsjob. The kitchen is barely supplied. Nacho the manager is the best feature being helpful, consultive and with the right tips about where to eat or visit.

Place near the beach and insidie the Forest. Clean and basic. The owner offere bile for rent and suggest local activities. Lack of AC could be a problem in the hot season. Breakfast is not included. Prices too high

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room is simple but very clean and well equipped with my own little kitchen. The owners are very friendly and polite and also invited me for freshly made fish cannelloni one night! Made me feel at home. Its right in front of a lovely beach and 5 min walk from town and 5 min walk from the surf spots. Looking forward to be back here!

I booked the hotel through Orbitz the day of my stay, because it was listed as a pet friendly hotel and no pet cleaning fees were listed (Costa Rica is generally very dog friendly and most places do not charge an extra fee unless listed). The owner was rude to me the second he walked in and said he was going to charge me a pet cleaning fee that was more than the price of the room! My dogs are hypoallergenic and don't shed (however, the owner has five cats crawling all over the property and in and out of the rooms). I asked if I could get my money back and go to a different hotel and he refused to give me a refund. I was not going to pay the extra fee, and so he threatened to trash my belongings as soon as i walked out of the room. I truly felt like my physical safety and the safety of my dogs was in jeopardy, so I had no choice but to leave and find another place to stay.
