My husband and I chose Cariblue because they have air conditioning. The property was very nice. The rooms were not elegant but were consistent with the pricing. We had a room facing the beach which was at the far side of the property, so it was nice and quiet. The beach was across the main street but the street traffic... More

This hotel was just right for a family like us. The rooms were comfortable and the dinner was very good, with excellent mojitos. The pool was very nice and the gardens were lovely, with wildlife spotting opportunities as well. We saw sloths, armadillos and leaf cutter ants, all just in the grounds!

Gotta start with the fact that we were there during the off-season, so the pool bar and massage weren't open. But the place is beautifully landscaped. Breakfast at the restaurant is great. And the wildlife - unreal. If you didn't want to do anything on your trip other than relax at the hotel, you can still experience everything - monkeys... More

We stayed at the end of the season and it felt a bit like it. Parts of the resort hotel were closed and looked a bit tired. Staff not exactly going out of their way to be helpful! We hired bikes from the hotel and cycled into Playa Cocles and Punta Uva for better family friendly beaches which was great.... More

Had a horrible experience the first night. Booked an ocean front room for 2 nights and had no AC, wifi wasn't working and had 2 big cockroaches in our room. We checked in late Sunday night from traveling and staff was not friendly and didn't switch us rooms or offer a refund for the second night we had booked when... More

This review is from our trip last Nov. We stayed here based on the great value and location. It does take about 4 hours to get to Puerto Viejo from the airport in San Jose but it's well worth it. The hotel is surrounded by Jungle and located within a 10 min bike ride into town. Breakfast was good every... More

Dear friend we really appreciate your comment, is very kind your reference about our staff, of course the nature is the key word down here, and your opinion give us the strenght to keep going that way. As you say is all about location. Thanks again. Luis Soto. Administrador. More

Just got back from a long weekend there. The hotel is inserted in the jungle which is always great. While being there we came across fire ants. ..to close so watch out. But also got to see the poisonous frog and one sloth!!! The place also multicultural made it better

Dear friend; As you say , we are right in the middle of the forest and next to the beach, wich is a really good combination, and of course we are very proud of our cultural heritage, so please come back to visit us once again, we will be more than happy to have you back. Thanks. More

Everything about Cariblue was beyond expectations. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and cute. Service was excellent - staff went above and beyond to help us book excursions and get us anything we needed. Location was very convenient. We highly recommend this hotel!

We spent only two nights in this hotel, having a great time. Rooms are perfectly integrated in the jungle atmosphere, they are not "perfect", but the amazing location is repaying you. Walking to the pool is a experience that allows you to discover several small endemic animals and if you want to see the Atlantic beach, you need only to... More

We have stayed at Cariblue a couple of times. We have really enjoyed the experience. The staff are helpful, the breakfast is a great way to start the day. The pool is clean and nice. The location is close but not too close to the action. The trees are tall and gardens lush.
