We have just returned from 5 nights at this hotel. The gardens and the thatched bungalows were charming and packed with wildlife - the regular visits from the deafening howler monkeys are amazing (they stay up in the trees but they do wake you up at night! One lady thought they were a recording!) Also saw a sloth on the...

This was the first place I stayed when I got to Costa Rica and I frequently asked the hotel staff questions and to call taxis for me. They were always helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. It is also very well secured and safe, as it is just outside of the city center. A cab ride costs...

I had been volunteering at the Jaguar Rescue Center for a month and was happy to meet friends afterwards and to relax. The drinks at the pool bar were more than generous or maybe I was just tired. Anyway, I ended up being tipsy after 2 drinks.

Stayed at the Cariblue in a Beach Front Apartment with my wife and daughter that just turned 11. Had a view of the surf from our room which was a nice second floor unit with an outdoor deck (and a hammock that got much use). Inside was nice and clean (with daily maid service) with two large bedrooms and a...

We just got back from 4 nights at that place. Upon arriving until we left, the service was excellent at any moment of the day. We also met the owner who spends time on site to make sure that everything runs smoothly. Our number one star goes to the tall, handsome, always smiling ( who wears glasses !) person who...

Cari blue at present is actually the merger of two hotels, the original (up market) Cari blue set back from the road and the (lower end) " totem" at the roadside. Consequently it has two of everything (pools restaurants), the totem end seems to have been a surf hotel, but the surf shop etc are closed, the "games room" deserted...

Great place, very quiet, a true jungle experience. The staff goes above and beyond, had problem upon our arrival with the reservations,, and Merille made things happen ......can not go wrong staying here. Great beach right across the road but need to take a Taxi into town, several restaurants there.

We had been competing on La Ruta de los Conquistadores mountain bike race for three grueling days that started in the Pacific Ocean and ended in Limon. Yes a little far from Limon but the peacefulness of the lodge, the helpful staff and the food made recuperation much faster. Breakfast is a tropical delight of Costa Rican food and fruits....

The Cariblue is a lovely hotel with breathtakingly beautiful grounds. It is not the most posh hotel in Costa Rica but is certainly clean, comfy and beautiful. The staff was incredibly friendly and willing to help with whatever we needed. The bartenders even remembered just how we liked our drinks. You just can't beat the location, right on the beach...
