This hostel is located on the second floor of the noisiest bar in southern caribbean coast. The musical is so loud than the vibrations of the bass boost alone can maintain you awake. Their catchphrase, "beach, party, sleep, repeat" is well chosen: don't go if you plan to do anything else. The bar will decide for you when you will...

Had a rather grim experience here. I was battered by bed bugs, the dorm was boiling hot with no fans and the showers were unpleasant and dirty. I would avoid staying here. Worth walking sightly further to find somewhere cleaner.

The location was great, in the middle of town and had a cool bar downstares with lifemusic every evening. The problem was that the owner or staff wasnt around all the time and reception just opend after 10am, which was too late for us. The atmosphare was chilled but wired, The rooms are big and nice.

The Lazy Loft is located right on the beach in Puerto Viejo, over a bar. When I arrived they didn´t have any beds available, but they did let me crash on a mattress in the common area for $5, which was cheaper than anything else I´d seen around the area. The staff and other guests were all very friendly, this...

Was a average stay at the Lazy loft, had very friendly and helpful staff for the first two days, then had a few things happen that weren't great. Loss of laundry with no help from staff and no idea where the laundry was getting done, lockers in our room being shared with other guests as the hostel was a little...

this is great spot to stay in a small group with a great crew that likes to hang late into the night. We stayed a few years back when it had basically just opened so can't speak to how it has evolved but we decided last minute (after meeting a guy that worked there on the bus from SJ to...

So this place is pretty cool if you want to party. The bar downstairs may be the best place in town for that actually. If you want to sleep on the other hand then I'd look elsewhere. The music was blasting till around 3.30am with bass so loud our beds were shaking. We weren't expecting silence by any stretch but...

This place was awesome, a beach house style hostel right in the sands of the Caribbean Sea and safely in the center of town. Our room looked right out into the sea view sunsets, I´ll never forget it. It was such a value too, our friends stayed in the dormbeds for only $10 and our private room only cost us...

I love this hostel! t is right on the beach but still in the "downtown" area of puerto viejo. A supermarket and some restaurants are on the other side of the street. It has a bar downstairs with really good food and cocktails and live music every night. Since the lazy loft has a terrace you can enjoy the music...

The location of this Hostel is the main draw we had a private room which was the same price as most of the Dorms we stayed in, our Patio doors opened up on to an Ocean facing Balcony and you could hear the Waves from our room. The Staff here were the main draw of this place however from the...
