I recently traveled to Costa Rica with a group of students on a community service trip. When we were first showed to our rooms, to say the least I was extremely unhappy. There is no air conditioning or television in the rooms (I personally don't care about TV but some people might), the bathrooms were substandard, and there were no... More

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on a roundtrip with Sawadee. The hotel is beautiful situated and you can here the waves break on the beach. Very kind people working there and serve your dinner and breakfast. Also had dinner here and if I may give a tip, don't serve that delicious looking salade, because it increases our chance... More

I liked this hotel because of its proximity to the beach. Everyday of my stay, I had a dip in the ocean although I was in that area on business. The rooms were clean and the service was excellent. The downside for me, too many lizards in the rooms and the dogs around the premises.

I like this hotel. When I first arrived I thought it was too basic but actually, it was fine! Our room was quite spacious with two double beds. Quite a big bathroom. Lukewarm shower but in that heat, it's not a problem. No aircon but was fine with the windows open and ceiling fan on. Nice pool area (although didn't... More

I had stayed here about 15 years ago and remembered that I loved coming here. My husband and I visited recently and were delighted to find the hotel still there. The staff is amazing, the room was great and we really liked the location. It feels remote while still being walking distance to town. If you don't feel like going... More

This was our first visit to the Caribbean coast of CR, and we didn't know what to expect. Our trip itinerary described the accommodations as "basic," and that is definitely true in a sense -- the rooms are small, with tile floors and lukewarm showers, and there is no AC, just ceiling fans. But the atmosphere is magical! We saw... More

We stayed for 9 days and the owner ,his son and the staff did everything possible to help us enjoy our stay. Our room was in the midst of a lovingly created mini jungle replete with parrots, a sloth and other animals. The pool was clean and well maintained with the 'jungle' fauna all around. The breakfasts were freshly cooked... More

We had one night at Atlantida, which is a pity as two or three would have been great. It has a great location on the Caribbean coast (about 20m away) and really good food. Only comment I have is that the showers are a bit too 'Eco' (or basic) with the heating element actually in the shower head and so... More
