This is a beautiful property for anyone who loves nature and wants a taste of a rainforest. experience. The cabins themselves are adequate - clean and functional, but nothing special. We had an issue that we couldn't get the room dark enough (large slits through the wooden shutters) that made our kids wake up TOO early (so finally ended up... More

This past July I was on a road scholar group program in Costa Rica, this is one of the places we have stayed at and I think it is the best one we have been to in our visit, I was truly amazed with the different kinds of animals (such as birds, monkeys (you could hear the howler monkeys at... More

I stayed two nights here as part of an 8 day Costa Rica trip with a tour company. Of the several places we stayed this was my favorite. So special to stay in a rain forest . It was the rainy season which actually added to the excitement of being in a rain forest. The rooms were what you would... More

I really wanted to love this lodge but when we arrived it was not what I expected from reviews I read. I liked some things about the lodge but overall found the prices they charge out of line for the facilities. On the plus side, the location is good for hiking at OTS La Selva and the lodge staff where... More

The location of this hotel is absolutely amazing. When walking to the restaurant or reception you'd accidentally walk in to different kinds of beautiful frogs, lizards and birds. The downside of this were the several bugs that were living in our room. I personally didn't bother to much, but if you're afraid of bugs you should take this into consideration.... More

We stayed in a room by the river. Rooms are raised and connected by walkways. Felt like being in the forest. Large iguanas bask in the sun on the walkways at times, you'll have to work your way around them :-). Loads of wildlife just outside your window. Howler monkeys in the trees nearby. Clean and tidy place with great... More

Stay in clusters of raised rooms connected by beautiful elevated wooden walkways. Enjoy hearty, healthy local style food served buffet style. Great meals, B, L & D. Rooms are very clean, but simple with ceiling fans. Covered areas are useful for daily rain showers during the rainy season. Stayed 2 nights with my tour group. Fall asleep to an insect... More

The Lodge is the perfect place for learning about and experiencing the rain forest up close and personal. Lodge guides offer nature walks several times daily and the guides are informative and enthusiastic, able to point out the small things and paint the big picture too. The rooms are clean, spacious and simple and are located away from the common... More

This was our last stop on our birding adventure in Costa Rica. We were once again back into jungle habitat and surrounded by Black Mantle Howler monkeys and a variety of bird species. This lodge is located along a beautiful river with hiking trails that the guests can walk to enjoy the jungle habitat. The rooms are well maintained and... More

Stayed here for two nights in mid May. We chose the bungalows as they were off the road quite a ways. Not sure why but there are huge semi trucks that use the roadway outside of here. You do need to cross the road to get to the dining area from the bungalows. The walk from the bungalow to the... More
