Certificate of Excellence
Tamarindo Village Hotel is built on a lush hillside and consists of 12 spacious and very private rooms and suites overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We are only 500 meters from Tamarindo's town center, beaches, restaurants, and shops. Tamarindo Village is unique among hotels in Tamarindo: We feature private plunge pools with ocean and jungle views at several bungalows; our average room size (over 500 square feet) is double that of similarly priced hotels. Most of our rooms have large patios and gardens up to 500 square feet. Select rooms have open air showers in extra-spacious bathrooms and wet bars. Our community swimming pool has a poolside bar, and quiet with privacy guests won't find outside the highest priced hotels in our area. We have a 24-hour front desk with express check-ins for all guests. Our concierge service can arrange transportation locally and countrywide, and we can discuss and make tour suggestions and reservations for all guests.

My husband and I stayed 7 nights at the Tamarindo Village Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed everything about this hotel. The owners, Steve and Martha are most welcoming and friendly. They have great suggestions on things to do or where to go. Our room was amazingly private and we

Thank you, Carol, for taking the time to tell others about your great experience at Tamarindo Village. We'd love to have you and the family back again. To potential guests reading our reviews, and maybe reading reviews of other hotels, here's something we think you need to consider: We're sure you see a variety of reactions from travelers who have stayed with us as well as at other hotels. People, being individuals, all have different tastes, experiences, expectations, that sort of thing. Please keep in mind that we are a "boutique hotel", a one-of-a-kind in design, room size, and amenities. We are the opposite of a chain hotel (where you get rooms just like every other chain hotel, where all the rooms are the same cookie-cutter design, style, and amenities being the same as most other hotels). Some guests like that sameness - to us that sounds like running a hotel as a "McDonalds" - the burgers are not so great, but some guests find comfort in knowing what they're getting, even if it's mediocre. See my point? Tamarindo Village is not that. We do not want to own that kind of hotel. We like our differences and our family atmosphere. And we love it when we have guests such as Carol and her family who understand what we are and enjoy us and Tamarindo Village for what we are. We love what we do, and we are proud of our Tamarindo Village. We hope to share it with you. If what we are doing sounds good to you, we look forward to having you as our guests.

Steve and Martha were lovely, the hotel is nicely set out on a hillside with private rooms. Nice pool, great breakfast, handy to town. The climb up from town is steep and there are plenty of steps in the hotel so not for the mobility challenged. Our suite was two room,
