Beautiful setting, excellent location, helpful staff. We could not have enjoyed our stay more. It was a wonderful refuge from the noise and crowds in Tamarindo. We had both a regular room, and a bungalow, and really liked the funky decor. The bungalow was especially fun. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was excellent. The owners were very...

Couldn't have asked for a better stay at Luna Llena. The hotel was truly beautiful and in the perfect location. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating during our entire stay. I would highly recommend Luna Llena for couples, family's and single traveler's. You will not be disappointed.

The whole staff at Luna Llena were incredibly friendly and helpful; from the owners to the housekeeping staff to the amazing guys who kept the grounds looking beautiful the whole week we were there. Our room was clean and air-conditioning and ceiling fan kept the temp inside very comfortable. Location was perfect for the relaxing vacation we were looking for....

so many problems with this place, don't know where to begin. The pool maintenance was poor... pool water not clean, but cloudy.. leaves and stuff floating in the pool. Water was turned off at night, and had to ask them to turn it on. there is a drought in the West coast of Costa Rica, but hey, you need water...

For $130/night, the hotel was disappointing. The room smelt a bit musty, there was no water in the bathrooms (and no one at the reception to fix the problem). The 'highlight' of our stay was when a cat that clearly belonged to the owners sneaked into our room and we spent hours trying to get it out. I personally, don't...

If you are looking for a place to relax that is close enough to the beach and night life in Tamarindo, you can't go wrong with The Luna Llena. The owner and staff take excellent care of this place and are wonderful people. I am sitting by the pool with a cool drink in the middle of this beautiful garden...

The hotel looks ok, pictures and reviews were decent, but when we got here and entered the bathroom to bathe, there was no water. No water in the sink, no water in the toilet, no water in the shower. Spent the night and checked out first thing in the morning.

Our family of five (all adults) stayed for two nights in Bungalow 3: three single beds in the loft and a king sized bed in the lower room. It was comfortable and fun! The whimsical lodgings nestled in lush tropical gardens at this boutique hotel consist of a cluster of yurt-shaped bungalows, all surrounding a beautiful freshwater pool and a...

The owners, Simone and Pino were friendly, made us feel welcome and let us check in a bit early. Enjoyed the ambiance and Simone's artistic touches throughout the complex. Nicely maintained grounds, rooms and pool. Off the main road, quiet, convenient location. Close to the beach, restaurants, shops. Fantastic Italian restaurant, Du Giovnni is on the hotel grounds. Excellent chef...

We stayed a couple of days here, and it felt more like a family community than a sterile resort. Everyone was beyond friendly, and it was one of the most safe places that I have ever stayed in. We had three small kids with us, and it was welcoming, inviting, and fun. (We had huge iguanas and a baby howler...
