Tamarindo Backpackers is a boutique beach hostel. Anne the owner works very hard to improve the hostel on a daily basis. Tamarindo Backpackers is a small, friendly place to stay just minutes from the beach. Get to know fellow travelers in the communal kitchen or chilling by the pool. Its a super friendly and fun atmosphere. We are the Lonely Planet Guide recommended hostel in Tamarindo for several years running! Here's what Lonely Planet has to say about us: "Our favorite hostel in Tamarindo, this intimate, all-star backpacker spot, in a gorgeous yellow hacienda is big enough to make new friends . . . small enough to feel more like home. The common kitchen area has a large, full-stocked shared Kitchen, cable TV and FREE coffee. Dorm and private rooms are clean and comfy. Outside, you will find lovely tropical gardens, small pool and hammocks, all surrounded by woods where you'll hear howler monkeys every morning".- By Lonely Planet 2011. The author's choice from ALL hostels in Tamarindo.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The nicest hostel in Tamarindo. The staff are excellent! High Five to Marco & NewYorker. Its not too small and not too big. Very friendly & good group of travellers coming and going which makes for great conversations. Its affordable for Costa Rica which is a 3rd world country with 1st world prices. If your backpacking & on a budget this is the place to stay. It has the original 'Pura Vida' vibe, unlike other areas where its all about the 'Pura Dinero'

My first time in a hostel & it was really good! The whole staff was great. They create an environment where you feel comfortable and relaxed. They also provide great info on anything you are looking for since most of them have traveled around Tamarindo & Costa Rica. Their staff member, Marco was a great surfing instructor. Very patient and doesn't just throw you into the water. Teaches you everything step by step! I would go back anytime of the year. SHOUTOUT TO "D", thanks for everything!

D!!!!! You are the bomb! Thank you for the quick and lovely accommodation on a "chaotic " weekend ;) That BPM festival had all hostels fully booked. We turned to this Hostel, to be received with smiles all around. Quiet, clean and close proximity to everything. Very helpful! Cheers dudes!

Tamarindo is a relatively small town and very walkable so it's a close walk to the beach and restaurants from the hostel. Staff for the most part were pleasant and friendly... Carlos and Julio were super chill and down to earth. Pura Vida, boys. Dee was also chill and friendly. If you're on a budget or in your 20s this a perfect hostel for you. It's definitely pretty easy to socialize here, it's an international crowd so some english and some Spanish go a long way. It's social, but not too noisy at night. 4 stars not 5 stars because in the end, it's just a hostel and not like a 4-5 star beach resort where you're being handed drinks poolside, but overall would recommend
