I will echo other reviews when I say that this place is *amazing*. Yes, the grounds are pristine, beautiful and embedded in nature. Yes, the people who work here are angles. Yes, the food is fresh and amazing (and I’m a food snob from Philly). Rythmia curates an itinerary for you to get the most out of your stay with them, ultimately revolving around extracting maximum benefit from the plant medicine ceremonies, though even without that it is 1000% a wellness resort. The massages are very reasonably priced and wonderful. I got 3! Theres a steam room, hot and cold plunge with a volcanic mud bath in a jungle spa setting- need I say more? The salt water pool is gorgeous and refreshing-always the perfect temperature. Rooms are clean and comfy. Victor led yoga every morning and he is 😌😇. I heard his loving voice in ceremony and I hope to feel his spirit every day for the rest of my life. Good morning beautiful toes! JJ offered unsolicited support after running into him at the gym and i really appreciate that extra effort that shows that the people guiding us really truly care that you get the most out of your time with them. We are all on this journey together and that was felt deeply. Safety and support are top notch. You can call it whatever you want- god, the universe, a miracle or a coming home to yourself….it’s all one and the same and if you are lucky enough to be able to afford the luxury of a week at Rythmia, it is well worth the experience.

I heard this place from my friend Zack, and I knew I had to go explore Rythmia. As soon as Rythmia opened again from the pandemic, we booked the trip on April 3.
The shuttle picked us up from the airport to Rythmia (convenient). The COVID test was fast easy. Staff members were Super friendly. The Facilities were clean with A/C or fans. Sometimes I could see some ants passing by my bed room, it was part of the rainforest decoration. Food was all fresh, healthy, 0 red meat, and low sodium. There was salt, pepper, olive oil, and spicy sauce on the side you could use. Some juice comes with the food are free, and you can pay for some extra juice (they are 👍) . Yoga classes, breathing exercises classes, and “The Answer is You” classes are a must go! It helped me so much to have positive & comfortable energy flow through my body and mind! I could not imagine if I didn’t go through these classes, what my ayahuasca ceremony was going to be! I believed all their classes and meetings were designed for helping people to have a better ceremonies. With all my respect I went to all the classes, and as a result I felt all my four ceremonies went above and beyond🤙😌
The four healing and magical ceremonies were out of this would. All of the shamans were so devoted to healing and helping. They were angels around providing care, love, support, and guidance. The music and live music they played went right into the soul. The music combines all of one’s positive intentions, it releases well-being and healing energy all around. Outside of the ceremony room there were tropical trees, flowers, grass, earth, fire pits, wind, sky, stars, status of easter island (Moai), and the hammocks. You’re surrounded by beautiful nature, elements and energy from the Ancient to present. Everyone was open hearted, and I met many soul brothers and sisters from all over the world. I just felt one week passed by too quickly.
All the experiences I had from Rythmia made my heart richer. When I got back to California, I quit drinking alcohol for two months. My whole family, including my dogs, the cat, and the bird could feel my Zen energy and a heart of love. So, I decided to take my mother to Rythmia this month!

I have been home 5 days and still feel like a part of me is back at Rythmia. I had the most amazing experiences with the plant medicine and feel so fortunate for the gifts I was given and the memories made. Gerry has put his heart and soul into Rythmia and it shows throughout the beautiful and spotless facilities. Every detail is set up for people to get the most out of their experience. A joyful welcome is felt upon arrival and genuine care is given by all who work there throughout the week. All of the classes are meaningful…try your best not to miss any, even if you are tempted not to go. I was always glad I went for one reason or another (sometime a connection made with a fellow mate). I found Gerry’s classes the most beneficial personally; his stories and sense of humor really helped me feel safe and at ease with the medicine. The shamans and the helpers in the ceremonies were very present and helpful and I always felt like we were in very good hands. The bonds made with fellow seekers/travelers were the icing on the cake. Felt like brothers and sisters by the end of the week! Loved getting to know people and hearing their stories. Everyone I met was so beautiful and strong. I learned so much and was so inspired by those I met. I left feeling so much love and pure gratitude like I’ve never felt before! If you have any doubt about going, do yourself a favor and trust that you are being called for a reason. Give yourself the gift of Rythmia and all the goodness that will come out of the week-I’m sooo glad I did. Everyone’s experience is unique but the common factor is love. Love you feel for others and yourself. Trying to describe the experience is too hard to put into words. You have to experience it yourself to really understand. Warning…the only problem with going, is you won’t want to leave, and once you do, you can’t wait to go back!! If you are reading this and have booked your stay…I’m so happy for you! From the moment I arrived, I was met with authenticity and a genuine interest in my thriving.
Rythmia was a bucket-list adventure vacation experience for me, to try a powerful plant medicine in the safe keeping of a licensed resort facility in a beautiful pristine location in the coastal jungle of Costa Rica. This place is the culmination of massive, massive effort, painstaking implementation, and thorough follow-through. The story behind this place is epic. The founder himself is a human with a thousand stories, a commissioned mission, and a complex existence. His choice to funnel his focus and his funding into this incredible, massive and highly complex endeavor, is beyond inspiring.
The accommodations and the amenities are a 10 out of 10. The housing is clean. Pristine, even. The grounds are well kept. The food here is incredible (fresh, flavorful, hearty, delicious). The common spaces are where magic is made. The ceremonies and the facilitators are living saints. The people who make the food and who turn over the bed linens are heart-forward humans you’ll fall in love with while you are here.
Be ready to be changed. Be ready to have your heart soften and pop wide open. Be ready to receive the love that floats in the air here in this healing vortex. These grounds are special. They are becoming sacred by the transformations taking place here. This is a relatively sparse review, but it should cover enough to allure the right person. This will be a powerful week! I chose to stay for two!

I am a 77 year old, retired educator who has always been interested in Spirituality , self development, and ancient wisdom. I wanted to take a step further in my healing and explorations and was attracted to Rythmia. I am so glad that I went. There are great workshops and loving supportive persons that help one in the integration of the plant medicine experience. It is the only place that has a medical support team on site as well as beautiful super clean rooms and beautiful safe outdoor settings I loved the wonderful food, massages, mud baths and exercise facilities. I have to admit, when I first saw the cost of going to Rythmia for a week, I had a bit of sticker shock and even dabbled with a little buyers remorse. But let me tell you something, after having gone to Rythmia and LITERALLY having my life changed entirely within a 7 day period, the value of Rythmia is incalculable. Let me reiterate, it's priceless!!! Not only do they guide you in the path of finding your true self, but they pamper you throughout the entire process. They show you that you do deserve to love and be loved and that you deserve all the greatest things the universe has to offer. This isn't just the friendliest staff I have ever met at any resort location, these are some of the most beautiful, kind and loving people I have ever met in my life!
Invest in yourself, invest in your growth, invest in your happiness and go to Rythmia! I promise that your life will be changed forever! You're beautiful! Now go find the true beauty inside!
Rythmia is, in no uncertain terms, heaven on Earth. I was sad to leave because of the friendships and connections that I had made in such a short period of time, but am ecstatic to know that I have a huge new family that I love dearly scattered all over the world and in Costa Rica. Rythmia....wow. A year ago I left an old life and set off for a new one. After one year of really looking within and rediscovering myself I set off to rythmia to go deeper. I could not fathom what I would gain from this experience. All I can say is that I’m not the same person I was when I showed up. I have so much love for everyone that works there. They don’t make it seem like a job. Even the service staff in the dining area and those who cleaned my room were so beautiful in their interactions with me and others during the time I was there. I actually sat down and ate with Gerry Powell and he was a very humble and kind person. The medicine nights I felt safe and loved. The staff, the shamans, everyone was there hearts open and fully present. Words could not explain the experience. It is one I could never forget. I want to go back and volunteer I felt it was my home. When I left I gained a new family. Thank you from the depths of my soul Gerry for what you have created here. Thank you to all of the staff at Rythmia and all of the volunteers. You are all beautiful beings.

It’s funny when you get to Rythmia they talk about miracles happening— it’s true! This is such a magical place. One of the true miracles is a Shaman named Brad— this is one powerful guy!!! Brad is one of the most prolific Ayahuasca Shaman in the world! He and his team do ceremonies for 40-80 people a week 4 times that’s 160-320 ceremonies a week. I can tell you from first hand experience Brad was able to take me out of some pretty dark places on several occasions. Brad is incredibly professional and very dedicated to his craft. Rythmia is blessed to have Brad and everyone who goes to Rythmia gets Brads blessings! The ceremonies are taken very seriously and the whole process is set up for you to get your miracle. Rythmia is clean, safe environment to experience ayahuasca under the supervision of some of the best shaman in the world and after care integration that understands the importance of aftercare.

I've done all inclusive resorts before and personal development conference before, but this was the first time I've done both at once and it blew my expectations out of the water. People are literally telling me how different I am compared to before I showed up at Rythmia. My wife and I were in a kind suite, which was fantastic for us to have our separate spaces to journal and contemplate when needed. We also had an amazing view of the pool right outside the room. The program Rythmia does is world class and we always felt safe and cared for. I almost never asked questions because it's like they read my mind and answered before I even asked. The food is fantastic. It's healthy and works with their program, yet I always felt like there were tons of choices I was excited for...who knew eating clean and healthy could be so fun? We met so many other amazing people during our week too, we know we now have some new friends for life. My wife already booked a return trip. It's the best value experience I've had yet!

Rythmia is somewhere I have wanted to go with a really long time, but I was putting It off. I had heard about Ayahuasca from so many people and how life changing it would be but, I was always a little bit scared, what if I'm never the same again or grow an extra ear! ( I can confirm no extra ear was grown during the week) The grounds on which Rythmia is built is absolutely stunning, very lush and well taken care of, I was in a shared room, and it was pristine, cosy and the beds are so comfy and very spacious.They have a spa, and gym onsite which is also very clean and relaxing!
From the moment they picked me up in the shuttle I felt very welcomed and safe. It was a sense of coming home, that group that week at that moment in time was perfect, it was and is family! I had got my miracle in breathwork which was on the first night! As the week progressed I was merged back with my dope ass soul that I had completely forgotten was there. The staff were so kind and helpful and always had a friendly smile and a hello even when I didn't! The Shamans are literally earth angels, and I feel so blessed to have had them help and guide me through the week of transitions that I was going through. Thank you to Gerry, for having the courage to take what was shown and given to him and create this safe container for people to come and heal and grow, is just a miracle in its self, I am beyond grateful. The incredible delicious food, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, I will miss a lot, so I had to buy the recipe book! I can not forget the amazing music! every song is just what you need in a moment to either help get you up to dance or have a beautiful realisation, its amazing!
The very insightful integration classes, the yoga, the breathwork, the dance it is beautifully weaved together to help you feel safe, supported and certain that you get your miracle!
I will be honest my least favourite thing was leaving Rythmia, I did not want to leave I had such an incredible week with some pretty dope ass people! It dawned on me as the week was going on its like a Chiropractor for your soul! I will definitely will be back! I can confirm I am definitely changed and changing that's for sure, but in the most best possible way! Thank you to everyone at Rythmia, from my soul to yours I am beyond blessed to have been there! Keep doing what your doing, because it bloody rocks!!!! Ahooo :)

We flew in and out of Liberia but I asked Daniel (the person we booked our trip with) all of our travel questions and he was extremely helpful. He connected us with their car service, which was in line with other services I checked out regarding price, and their folks picked us up at the Airbnb in Nosara where we were pre-rythmia and got us to the resort on time for everything.

It was $5,250 plus circa $500 for the ceremonies. So a total of just under $6,000. This includes 4 nights of ceremonies. The prices have gone up though to $6,500 however I would say it is the best money you will ever spend and I am looking to return and take a number of people with me. If you put together a group of 4 or more people then speak to Rythmia and they will give you the 4th place for free. This obviously helps. If you are going from the UK then BA are the only people who fly direct, however you have to tollorate BA. Rythmia and everything about it is amazing and there is no where else in the world better to do your first ceremony. Enjoy. Hope this helps. Oh also I drove from San Jose to Rythnmia, 5 hour drive, amazaing and then went for a week to an a beautiful hotel an hour and a half further down the west coast.
I 100% agree with Keith. I stayed in the same type of room. I loved having my own space and privacy. There is plenty of time for community and group activities in the week. I spent most of the leisure time around the pool or in the mud bath with new friends!
Depends if you are the sort of person who prefers to share the experience with a buddy or want a bit of privacy.
Either way it’s the most incredible experience and worth every penny! I’m definitely going back.
