I cannot say enough good things about the Tree Tree Inn. We stayed here about 6 years ago and on our trip back to Costa Rica last month, we made it a point to stay in all new destinations (we like to spend 1-2 nights in various places in the Nicoya and Arenal areas), but we HAD to spend one more night at the Tree House Inn. It is one of the few places ON the beach. The cabins (on stilts) are wonderful. You have fantastic views of the surf from your "living room". You have everything you need if you wanted to spend a week or more here, from a well equipped kitchenette to a grill. There is a small grocery store right across the street. We walked there for beer and meet to grill. Breakfast is included each more and it's always delicious. Samara is a small developed town with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. It's a definite tourist destination, but not overrun and not as Americanized as some of the other coastal towns that have lost their charm. I highly recommend a visit and to stay at the Tree House Inn.…
This is our second year staying at the Treehouse and have reserved our week for next year already. The location can’t be beat-within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, grocery stores, shopping. No need for a car. I can’t say enough good things about the staff-friendly, helpful, attentive. A big, delicious breakfast is served everyday on the patio under your treehouse. The beach is just outside the gate. Beautiful view from inside your Treehouse.
Stayed for three nights, would have stayed longer. Clean, great beach, sunsets, walk to restaurants, beach bars, or just hang out in the hammocks. Breakfasts were so good and generous, lot of fruit, (pineapple!!) great coffee, and the staff were so kind and accommodating. Pura Vida.
Great spot! Right on the beach. One of the few places to stay in Playa Sámara where you walk out the gate and are on the beach. Also, has great views of the ocean from your room. Coffee and breakfast served in the morning. Everything is in walking distance with a market right across the street. An extra bonus was the Halloween celebration and parade!! Good , cheap tacos at the restaurant on the beach ( where the info center is-one or two buildings to the north), sushi(& other eats) across the street, and other food options all very close. Loved the Roots Bakery too. Great place for a family and not overly touristy! Great service from the staff too. Just loved it here!!!
I came to the Tree House Inn for the first time seven years ago, and have tried to come back every year since. First of all, you can't beat the location. The bungalows have an amazing ocean view and you can walk out onto the beach for a dip in the ocean any time. What I love most about Tree House though is the staff. I feel so taken care of here. They make delicious breakfasts every morning that are included in your stay, including fresh local fruit, coffee, and local dishes like Gallo pinto with eggs and avocado. The manager Isamar will also arrange massages, yoga, horse back riding, or any other adventure you want for you, so you can relax and enjoy. This place is a hidden gem!
