We just came back from Hotel Giada Yesterday. We spent 3 nights there. We live in Playas del Coco and many tourists who come here to our complex have told us about this hotel so we decided to try it. They were right. We loved our room (15) which was very clean. The hotel has 2 pools and a jacuzzi and we were very pleased about everything. We had breakfast there 2 days and the food was very good. The personnel are very friendly. If I could change something would be this: having a light blanket in each room. During the night there were times when we were very hot but when turning the AC we would be too cold. Other than that everything is perfect. We plan to go back there in April when our son visits us from Canada.
From the street looks Giada like common hotel, but in the innner block you will find 2 swimming pools, second one very quiet, with sun beds for your disposal. Rooms with the balcony to the garden, beds, aircondition and other room equipment OK. Very good restaurant with 10% discount for hotel guests. Friendly staff .Beach about 150m walk. Perfect!
Perfect Place, extraordanary good food for reasonable prices, very friendly staff, nice pools, very good location, proper, in the center of Samara, close to shops, bars, other restaurants and beach, we would choose the hotel again
the staff were not aware that it was our honeymoon and we had been given a room at the front of the hotel on the busy main street. We were worried about the noise from traffic but also we were above the restaurant. The room was also very basic with not much space to put to put anything. We did ask if there was anything else but the hotel was fully booked. The hotel itself is quite charming when you go through to the garden at the back. There is a warm, clean pool with a jacuzzi at its head. There are sun beds and a grassy area where you can relax. We were sent an email asking how we felt about the hotel and we voiced our disappointment etc; our comments were taken seriously and on day two when there were rooms being vacated we were offered another room at the back of the hotel. The manager was apologetic, he had not been aware that we were on honeymoon. Our new room was bigger, lighter, more modern with draw space and overall felt more comfortable. We were very pleased. The hotel restaurant was very good. Breakfast was pretty standard and as you would expect in costa Rica. We did not experience lunch but the evening meals were very good and well priced. The freshly made pizzas were yummy and I can highly recommend the Shrimp in Penne pasta with avocado. The best meal of the holiday! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Samara, thank you.…
This was the last hotel in our tour through Costa Rica, apart that is from the final night in San Jose en route to the airport. The Giada was just great, two small pools an excellent restaurant and adequate bar. The room was comfortable, though it was a bit surprising to be instructed not to use towels for cleaning shoes! Sleep was easy, it was lovely and quiet. The staff were the usual very friendly and helpful people the country seems full of.
