Stayed at mariposas for over 2 weeks. Absolutely loved our time here, felt more like a family than it did a hostel. We had group gormet dinners and hit up the local bars all as a family. It is in the heart of playa Samara with any and all major conveniences less than a block away. They even have hot...

This has been, by far, my favourite place to stay in Costa Rica. It doesn't hurt that Samara is an amazing town but my visit has definitely been made extra special by staying at Las Mariposas. I stayed for a few days earlier in my trip. After visiting a couple of other towns, I was drawn back there for 11...

We stayed here for three days to rest while bike touring the nicoya peninsula. This was the perfect spot to relax and recuperate. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly with a lot of shaded communal hang out spaces. It's conveniently located-very close to the beach, groceries, ATM, bars, and sodas. Definitely...

I arrive here by random and it was a really good surprise. The place is really friendly and the beach is so close. You can rent surf easily on the beach. I read some bad things but it's an hostel it's not an hotel. I enjoy my time a lot there

This place has it all: The location is perfect, 1 minute from the beach, staff is friendly and helpful always interacting with the travellers; the prices are the cheapest in town plus you have the option of the hammocks or tents if you wanna save some extra dollars; common areas with big tables to...

Sooo hard to find the words to discribe this amazing place. I spent here around one month and I loved every single day! The atmosphere is a magic. Everyone is your friend here, you arrive and you just feel like home. The beach is about one minute walking, the bars are on the corner, the supermarket is 5 minutes away....

Lovely vibes and people . I came to this hostel in samara due to a friends recommendation from a friend I met back in la Fortuna. Everyone here is extremely welcoming and it's a really nice atmosphere.

Samara is a lovely and easygoing town, Las Mariposas is a lovely and easygoing hostel. For me my stay at this hostel has been one of the most beautiful experiences during my stay in Costa Rica. It is the most ultimate hostel that really connects you with the place and the country with all its beautiful creatures. It is an...

Such a great Hostel, very friendly staff and an awesome common area. Super close walk to the beach and restaurants as well. I will definitely come back here when I'm back in samara. I stayed for 2 nights but with the cozy atmosphere you can definitely end up staying for a very long time! Cheap price for a great Hostel.
