The hotel staff in itself is very friendly and the facilities are of a good standard but there is a real management problem when it comes to follow up with customers problems. I have been requesting via e-mail to fix invoice problems and also Bonvoy credit issues. I have been told they are working on it and nothing happens. I have sent many more e-mail without any response from the hotel management which is absolutely not acceptable. Mr Albero Cortés, resort assistant manager, is simply ignoring my emails. Not acceptable for a resort that pretends to be sitting at this level of standards. This experience is making me think that I will not return to this resort and I will certainly not recommend it either to my friends or colleagues. I also think that it is delivering a bad image from the Marriott brand in general. Thomas Fourteau

We have been coming to the beach club for 1 week now and staff have been great and very courteous. Today we had this new supervisor, ERIK, come attack us as we were walking in for not wearing a mask. I told him that I had one mask only (my husband's) and I had forgotten my mask at home and requested him to give us an extra mask. He refused to help us (even though there is a whole stack of masks in the server station) and asked us to go to the golf shop to purchase one, and we said OK. 15 minutes later, Erik sent a server to get our condo number and THREATENED our condo manager that if we do not wear a mask he will ensure we lose access to the beach club! That's horrible customer service. Erik is in the wrong business if he wants to CREATE TROUBLE for his customers instead of helping them out to have a good experience. All he had to do was give us a mask, or let it go today when I honestly told him we had only one mask and I had forgotten one mask at home. Please train your staff to have a more polite, professional, cooperative and expansive approach with customers rather than such a threatening, intimidating, 'do as I say or else I will harm you' threatening tone. This has left a very bitter taste in our mouth and I will be escalating this to top management if this ever happens again. We do not come here and spend our time and money here DAILY for breakfast and lunch to be spoken to this way by rude staff. I am sure that our experience will be more positive moving forward, and thank you for taking the time to rectify this situation with this specific rude employee.

This Saturday we had an inconvenience with a woman that is the supervisor in Rerserva Conchal pool. This is the situation, my son currently has some food allergies, for that reason I have to bring all the time his prepared food to any place that I visit. Today, this supervisor came to us with a bad attitude and she sent us to give my child food in the beach, as we cant enter and give him the food that I brought to him there, she told us that we have to buy his food there (despite of his allergies). Please note that the rest of the family have been consuming the food of the restaurant every day (around $150 In total per day) My son was the exception for his allergy, as I mentioned. She sent an email because she took it personal to ban our entrance to Reserva Conchal facilities and the managers didnt take our version into account, they just vet our entrance there for 10 days!! A the day before this supervisor had a problem with another family, the treatment was also awful with them. What is happening with the empathy of your employees in these situations? Do you know what can happen if anyone consume any food with some allergy restriction? They lost around 12 clients and the didn”t care. 👎🏼

We just finished a 7 day stay at the Westin Playa Conchal and highly recommend it. All staff were so friendly and dedicated to making sure we had a good time. The restaurants are amazing - must try Bamboo and Faisonella! In fact all of the food was great, even the buffet offered a good selection for kids for breakfast and lunch. Some of the evening theme nights on the buffet proved a little challenging for the kids - so there was always room service! The excursions we booked with Erik in the blue shirt on the beach were AMAZING! Great value, and each tour guide was so personable. Recommend the monkey/river tour, half-day boat excursions with Life is Better at Sea, zip lining, and fishing! The hotel is located on a public beach but the vendors are well mannered and will not continue to harass you if you say no. We borrowed the hotel’s boogie boards one afternoon and had a blast. We are sad to be leaving and can’t wait to come back!

Just returned from a week in CR and loved everything . We started by getting liquor at the CR duty-free , prices are good compared to Ontario , 2 - 1L of Bacardi $26 US . We took a EcotransCR transfer for 6 of us to Reserve for $90 US . We rented a condo and heard the place is big so we decided to get a golf cart for $300 the week . We used the free shuttle for the first day is was ok but did have to wait bit . We also wanted the cart to go for groceries and the nearby towns as carts are allowed on the streets , so glad we got one it was super fun and could take the short cut thru the golf course to nearby towns. The Golf course is real nice , a little dry but in great shape . We decided to to get a 3 round pass for $400 vs the $160 per round . Our older kids surfed with Point Break surfing in nearby Playa Grande for $55 each including the pick up and return to our condo . These guys were great they got everyone in the group up and riding waves quickly . The food there is great and reasonable , must go to Gracia in Mar Vista and the Patalonia in Brasito . We had a great time visiting all the nearby towns and felt safe every minute , even on a couple of late night drive homes , I can't say enough good things about place we had a great time . Hope some of these details help you make your decision to visit here you won't be disappointed ( as long as ur up for some 30 degree heat 7 days a week ). Enjoy !!
