We stayed at the hotel for a night. The views were gorgeous, unfortunately, in my opinion the hotel was not worth the price we paid (80USD, breakfast included). Although the people working there and the owners were very nice, the hotel was pretty run-down. The service is not very detail oriented, but if you still want to give it a... More

This place is kind of run down, but my girlfriend and I love it. You have to go in the dry season or the road turns to mudd. I did some fishing and relaxed in the restaraunt. It is a place to get away from everything and be romantic with your lover. The tv's hardly work, but we were busy... More

We spent two nights there just because I really wanted to see the area and especially Playa El Jobo. My husband wanted to leave after our first meal as he asked for a chicken casserole and got bones...my pasta dish was not much better, the owners dogs use the restaurant as toilet. The place is really falling apart which is... More

The price that they ask for the services that they give in exchange is very competitive. Clean. Good food at acceptable price, compared to local market, magnificent view at the Bolaños Island. Quiet and secure. One of our best vacation in the last 4 years. They are not pretending 5 star price for what they offers. The beach just in... More

Our group of 4 decided to go check out Playa Jobo after reading a review in our book, We soon realized we had entered no mans land.. the beaches are really nice over there but there was only one option that we could find, the Blue dream and EcoPlaya were both closed, we ended up at the Hotel Bolanos, and... This is the worst place that I've ever been. The road to get there is awful; the food in the restaurant is VERY expensive. I paid almost $40 for some spaghetti and a soda. I don't mind to pay that much for something good, but their restaurant is disgusting. Dogs are walking in the restaurant and kitchen, and actually, the... More

We stayed for about a week with 12 other people. The location is remote and wonderful. The view is spectacular. The beach is wonderful and deserted. Yes, the road is rough - this is Costa Rica. The food was varied and delicious. The pasta dishes were the best we had in Costa Rica. I assume that the Italian owner ensured... More

During my trip to Costa Rica I stayed to weeks in this Hotel Lonely planet is my travel Bible, and I agree with the advice of this guide. The hotel is located on a gorgeous bay, with bungalows spread out in a nice garden, and a nice swimming pool. The rooms are wide and clean, some of them have beautiful... More
