It is a wonderful place to spend a day or to stay overnight. There are many activities to do. The restaurant is good but great for the prices you have to pay, but the options are limited because of the hotel location. During the weekends it could be very crowded by nationals.

In between volcanoes you'll experience an unique sensation when visiting Thermomania. I should highlight the hot springs (inside the hotel area), all the surrounding exotic nature and the very kind staff. Although I was working the most part of the day I had time to do the next activities: bird watching, exotic animal's watching (I saw two white-throated capuchin and... More

We were enjoying the day with three families and kids from three different countries. We went to the restaurant to have lunch and were told we could not push any tables to sit together. We asked why not... and were told 'You can't touch them. We were told there was one big group table but there was already four people... More

Wonderful mountain view room and friendly staff. The place is geared mostly for families and is quite dated. But we arrived late and enjoyed the "adult" hot springs under the stars almost alone. Wonderful experience. But too many kids for us during the day. There is a "farm". But small cages and I really despise animals in cages. I though... More

The place is nice, a bit crowded with costaricans. The view of the volcano is awesome. Water temperature is spot on. Should have more pools, as the property is very large. The restaurant is overpriced and not so good.

We were here in the off-season and booked this hotel after driving up and asking to see the rooms. They let us stay with our small dog, who even got to be in the restaurant with us. There were ants in our first room and they easily moved us to another one. The pools were fantastic and warm, and the... More

I'm so sorry. I wish I had a better experience, but this was quite a disappointment. The pictures online are misleading. The food was microwaved from a bag and was way overpriced. I have been to many places in Costa Rica, and I hate to say this but this was an awful experience. I know we are in a tropical... More

We fell for an offer from Alan to see a volcano and hot springs which was closer than Arenal. Thermo Mania was partially closed, no zip line, no horse back riding, Walt Disney themed pools, hot springs were not hot, mud bath was a gallon of mud you had to smear on yourself with a wooden spoon. Spa staff was... More

Rustic and simple but priced like a all inclusive. Would not recommend, there are others in the area with better facilities and prices. Should be a quarter of the price for what it is. There has been a lot done but lacks basics for the price. Disappointed.

When a resort chooses not to close during low season you expect some sort of service. We didnt feel welcome at all. We were about the only customers with two small children but no effort was made to make us feel welcome. We received no info about the place and there wasnt any in our cabin as we were told... More
