Helicondas Nature Lodge is a family-run lodge, they are super nice and accommodating. The hotel is relatively new, I think they opened it less than 5 years ago. We stayed at one of the basic bungalows rooms, it was really clean and functional, everything in the room worked great during our stay. Breakfast is included, they basically offer 3 choices...

We stayed in the tree house and it was awesome! Quiet, except for the sound of the cicadas as night. Oscar greeted us warmly and gave us a tour of the family operated retreat. Organic onsite farm, great restaurant, pool, and sweet cabins, to include one tree house up in a mango tree! We arranged to raft Sarapiqiui, go on...

This was our first time in Costa Rica. What a beautiful country! The entire Arenal volcano area was really nice. The Heliconias Nature Lodge was exactly the way it was described on the website and by our travel agent. The family who own and ran the lodge were extremely nice people who ran their hotel with pride. Check in was...

We couldn't wait to get to heliconias lodge as the pictures made us dream of a luxurious treehouse in the jungle. For the price (the highest of our CR rentals), we thought we deserve to indulge ourselves and experience a night in a treehouse! When we finally arrived, the staff were diligent and smiley, and a young lady took is for...

We had a lovely time at the family-run Heliconias Lodge. We stayed in one of the treehouses, and our kids really enjoyed it, the view and soccer field. In addition, the staff were very accomodating and set up a pull-out couch for the kids. We were pleased that there was a fridge in the room, air conditioning and a safe....

We stayed for 4 nights including 2 children. This lodge is about 40 minutes away from the town of La Fortuna, surrounded by lots of nature with animals. You'll see sloth on the way to the path on their properties. Great rooms and well-maintained properties. The downside is that the food at the restaurant on site was overpriced, so we...

This was our first stop on our recent visit to CR in March 2017. Oscar and the rest of the family immediately made us feel like we were at home. He was so helpful planning all of our excursions and transportation prior to our trip. Once there, he worked diligently to make sure everything went off without a hitch. We...

We stayed at the Heliconias Nature Lodge for 4 nights (three adult women). We could not have been happier. The room itself was amazing - extremely clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Our back porch had two hammocks -- it was delightful to relax there and to listen to the birds, the frogs, the insects. It got louder and...

Our cabins were great. All the views are of the jungle. That is what you came here to see, right? The gardens and grounds are gorgeous. The soccer pitch and trampoline were fun for my kids. The hammocks are comfortable. Oscar is the best. He and his family were very nice and patient. Everything he suggested was right on. Our...

Just stayed here April 2-5th, in one of the glass walled bungalows for three nights at the end of our two week vacation to Costs Rica. We'd been on the arid Pacific Coast and stayed here partially to experience the rain forrest, and partially because it was halfway back to the SJO airport. It's located about 8 miles (15 minute)...
