Our family of four just returned from Costa Rica - We stayed at Lost Iguana for 3 nights and the facilities and staff were fabulous. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone! We loved the location - just 15 minutes north or La Fortuna and close to many of the attractions. Plenty of choices at dinner and the food was...

The Lost Iguana is an amazing resort and I can not believe anyone would call it camping. This is a 4 star hotel with beautiful bedrooms and all modern amenities including all the hot water you could ever want. I am very picky about cleanliness and our room was spotless The maids surprised us every day with towels made into...

It has been a year since we stayed at the Lost Iguana, but after just returning from a trip to Jamaica and staying at an all-inclusive and feeling a little let down, we were reminded about how awesome our trip to Costa Rica was and what a great stay we had at Lost Iguana. A year later, what stands out...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and wish it could have been longer. This resort is absolutely beautiful and the views from the rooms are to die for. We loved sitting outside watching the birds on our private patio with lots of landscaping and a koi pond and waterfall. We left our doors open at night (be...

Our family of five very much enjoyed our four night stay here. It is a 20 minute or so drive west of San Carlos and several miles off the main road near the dam. However, with that you will enjoy an authentic and fairly private rain forest experience with great views of Arenal. We stayed in a Celebrity Suite which...

If you like to camp - you will like this resort. If you don't mind bugs - you will like this resort (and if you actually like bugs you will be over the moon.) It is in a beautiful setting and is very peaceful. Unfortunately I didn't like it - didn't realise just how many creepy-crawly things lived in the...

I very much appreciate the 5 stars you gave us, especially considering you did not enjoy your stay with us. We do talk to guests and get comment cards upon checking out, and if guests are very unhappy we do try to compensate them. I have lived on property for 6 years and can't imagine what type of creepy crawly...

This resort has a superb location, grounds, rooms and amenities with a friendly staff but misses the finishing touch to reach excellence. Staff is friendly and with some further training could surpass the amateur feeling that it sometimes exudes. Rooms are well appointed, all with great views and within walking distance of the restaurant. Pick up and drop off service...

We talk to all our guests and everyone gives us a comment card as they leave. I have only heard from guests who loved the resort and am sorry you did not. Our breakfasts are different every day and the bar refrigerator is given to us by Coke and tucked into a corner. Please contact reservations so we can compensate...

We unfortunately came for 4 days of which 3 days it rained. I must say that the hotel did everything they could to make our stay happy in spite of the bad weather. We hiked on the property trails and half way through we got poured on. It was still fun and the hotel has a special during rainy days...

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Lost Iguana and had a magical time. 2 of the 3 days it rained so we had one sunny day to do the zip lines and go to Hanging Bridges. (Both were great!) The other 2 days we had even a better time relaxing at the resort. The spa was amazing...

This hotel was fantastic! Every hotel employee was very helpful, friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. We stayed in a luxury suite and was happy we upgraded. We had our own private jacuzzi tub and the shower was outdoors - super cool!! I would certainly stay at this hotel again!
