I really enjoyed my stay at the Lost Iguana in March 2010. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. It was so amazing to wake up in the morning and see the volcano from my bed. The grounds were very nice with lots of birds. I saw toucans hanging out in the trees on several occasions. It...

This is a lovely hotel surrounded by lushness, flora and fauna. We got a great deal on Groupon, in a basic room. The room was attractive and roomy, with a small refrigerator and a balcony overlooking the volcano. The birds sounds we woke up to were like nothing I had ever heard. There is a bird feeder is right outside...

We were on a family trip (8 people total, 4 adults, 4 kids) to Costa Rica, and we had 4 rooms at Lost Iguana, two suites and two regular rooms for 4 nights. The rooms were large, nicely furnished, and the volcano views were breathtaking. The place has a 'rustic luxury' feels -- our room had an outdoor enclosed shower...

The staff is incredibly friendly and have a high level of customer service. Everything I tried from the menu was delicious. Our room had a great room of the volcano. Feels more like a boutique hotel then a resort. Got a mud facial at the spa, even the setting itself is very zen-like and tranquil. The rustic design fits very...

We had a wonderful time here. Beautiful grounds. The resort is a bit outside of the city, which we enjoyed. Still easy to get to but would recommend renting a car. Hotel staff was amazing in reception and restaurant. They were very helpful offering ideas for things to do during our trip. We stayed in a luxury suite which was...

The setting was just lovely. Our suite had a beautiful view of the volcano from the patio and we spent each morning just looking at the exotic flora and fauna that surrounded us. There is easy access to the entire property which is beautiful. The staff were available for whatever our needs were and the Spa experience was hands down,...

My husband and I had a luxury suite with a deck overlooking the Arenal Volcano--what a magnificent view. The seclusion, the views of the volcano and the rainforest, and the wood lodges made for an especially romantic setting. The hotel hooked us up with all of these fun activities--canyoning, zip lining, hiking, etc. We stayed in at the resort for...

The hotel's web site does not do it justice. The 40 some rooms are spread over a large amount of land with beautifully landscaped grounds. All the buildings have jaw dropping views of the volcano and curving trails that go from rooms to the restaurant and pools. We truly felt like we were in paradise. Half of the land is...

I stayed here on the first leg of a trip to Costa Rica.We chose a room that had a jacuzzi bath outside & had a view or the Arenal volcano, you can see the lava flow at night. The room was large & the shower room is stone built outside, which is nice. I did think the room smelt a little...

My husband and I spent 2 wonderful days at the Lost Iguana. We arrived at night and all the lights on the hillside were enchanting. Loved the rooms and private patio with rocking chairs and jacuzzi. At 5 am the birds and a couple of howler monkeys woke us up. The view from our bed was one I will never...
