After arriving at the La Fortuna airport, this resort was at least a 30 minute drive. It is difficult to spot the sign from the highway, but it is down the same road as the Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges. The resort is tucked away in the jungle and is secured by a front gate with a guard. The rooms are...

We love Costa Rica. This was out first trip to La Fortuna. We loved the Lost Iguana Resort. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable ans spacious. And the view of the volcano and surrounding rain forest was spectacular. I highly recommend this resort!

I have traveled to the La Fortuna area for 3 different trips over the past 10 years. Arenal was still displaying fantastic eruptions/lava flows on the first trip, but it has been silent since. However, the magnificence of the mountain remains, and I will never get tired of looking at it. The Lost Iguana property has some of the best...

A lovely place with stunning volcano views....just be more prepared than we were that the sun may never come out and the volcano may be hidden by clouds so you may pay a premium for a view that you won't see-certainly no fault of the resort, but be careful if coming for that view. We got lucky our last morning....

This hotel is quite far away from town and a taxi is needed to go anywhere. The food is very good. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are nice although we had room 33 which was lacking some lights plus it would be handy to have a handle on the outside of the patio doors! (this count for all...

We stayed for two days at the start of our Costa Rican vacation. Wanting to be close to the rain forest, we picked the right location. It is very close to the hanging bridges tour which was fantastic. We originally had two rooms and were greeted warmly at reception with a cool drink and transported to our rooms via golf...

Me and my husband did visit Costa Rica one week before Christmas. This hotel was the first one in our trip. Our room was clean and it had a some view to the volcano. Besides it nothing else. We understand that we were there in a busy time this is why it was overpriced (in a country where labor rate...

Stayed for couple of nights in the "Luxury suite". Great room with outdoor jacuzzi, great view, wonderful "outdoor" showers. Minibar had fullsize bottles of wine at very reasonable prices. Very clean and over all one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in anywhere. Location is good for covering Arenal area -if you have a car. Hanging bridges very close....

After staying at all inclusive beach hotel for a few days, my family and I were itching to visit Costa Rica's rain forest and make arrangements to stay the night. We found the Lost Iguana Resort & Spa online and were beyond impressed when we made it. It was everything we were hoping our overnight in the rain forest would...
