Stayed here for 4 days. From the moment we arrived we had Tony there to attend to us. He recommended local places to eat! The town of La Fortuna is safe. Somewhat touristy. The location of the rooms had amazing views of the volcano. The hot springs pools and swim up bar was a great time to spend the day. Steven, Antonio were our bartenders -friendly guys! Steven recommend our coffee/chocolate tour (a must) to experience the culture in la fortuna! Jonathan with the night tour was amazing with sporting out the night creatures! Tubing and wild cat feeding amazing! The nice part it was located at the resort. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful time in Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

The 3 stars are because the resort was so beautiful, and there was about one cool staff member. Overall, the staff and service gets 1 or 2 stars. I felt like we had to tell the servers at the Cascades Restaurant how to do their job (they forgot components of our meals several times). They try to upcharge for everything. If you do not eat meat, be very careful about what food you order, I ordered a vegetarian omelet that had ham in it (they apologized profusely and comped the meal, but I wouldn’t want it to happen to anyone else). They offered to bring us a bottle of wine on our second night, as it was our honeymoon, which never happened. The gift shop refused to process credit cards and would only allow us to charge it to our room. We are American tourists and had rented a car so we could drive into town, which apparently was unheard of, because each time they thought we were checking out of the hotel every time we got to the gate. One staff member was super chill and remembered us each time we left and arrived, and let us in and out without any runaround or questioning, which was cool. The hot springs and pools were stunning, and we saw monkeys and sloths on the property, but overall we wished we had stayed at Tabacon instead.

We stayed there for 8 days in Aug 2021. The rooms are large and beautiful, with a great view of the volcano. We took advantage of most of the hot springs, which were all well designed and clean; the gym, which appears new with plenty of equipment; the pool, where my wife took lessons; and the activities - horseback riding, river tubing, a nature walk, and the sanctuary. All were well designed and executed. All the food was great - they have an amazing chef. Best of all was the staff - friendly, helpful, and they all had a great attitude. The ones that stood out for us are: Nickole, Francisco, Johan, Micheal, Chef Naun, Lisette, + Romeo.

My family stayed at the Springs for 4 days. The grounds, environment and staff were all fantastic. We were immediately welcomed at check in. Everyone even makes an effort to learn your name. The highlight was Victor who we met at check-in when he showed us around the resort, we quickly learned of his vast knowledge of birds and other indigenous animals, which was important to us because my son has an interest in birds as well. Victor was so kind, that he changed his schedule so we could do a bird tour with him. He is beyond amazing. We saw numerous amazing birds, sloths, howler monkeys, and even a poison dart frog on the tour. He made a point of saying hello every time we passed him. It was a great stay, but Victor made it 100 times better. Would recommend the springs to anyone visiting Costa Rica.

We visited the Springs Resort for 3 nights, and left wanting more! From the very moment you step on to the property, the staff is welcoming, helpful and friendly, Always a smile, always a friendly greeting. The property is simply breathtaking, with amazon views of the volcano. The landscaping is magnificent with the most amazing plants and flowers. The wild life is magnificent ... a monkey sashayed across one of the open expanses ... simply amazing. We traveled as 2 families - 4 adults, 4 older kids. We each had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom accommodation. It was perfect. Below is a view from our balcony, with private hot spring sauna. We utilized the concierge to arrange several trips. Loved the night walk at club rio, where our guide pointed out many varieties of frogs and snakes. The tubing at club rio was also awesome. We wish it was longer! We went for an ATV trip, which is great, probably the favorite part of the trip for the kids. The ATVs are on site, but the company is an off site company, and they were awesome! We hired a private guide to take a hanging bridges tour, and really loved that as well. The tour guides were amazingly knowledgeable and found lots of wild life for us to view while on the trip. The hot springs through the resort are incredible. The bars are great, and the restaurants are delicious. It seems the goal of this hotel is to make you sure you have a 10* visit, and we sure did!
