Unfortunately I stayed here for only one night. I was surprised by how huge the hotel is and how many activities it offers. Make sure you don’t make my mistake and stay for a few nights. My husband and I stayed at the honeymoon suite and the hotel sent us sweet gestures and they were so nice and accommodating an absolute pleasure! Also the honeymoon suite at this hotel is one of the most beautiful rooms I’ve ever stayed at! Highly recommend.

This place is incredible. The view, the rooms, the spa, the staff!!!! We had special treatment from our concierge Antonio Cruz. He went above and beyond as well as all the staff. I love visiting Costa Rica, the people are amazing. I truly can not wait to go back!

The room was amazing, we didn't want to leave it! haha The staff was even more amazing so we wanted to get out and see them as well. ; ) My wife had a birthday the day we arrived so we made a reservation at Las Ventanas where we were treated like royalty starting with 'the host with the most' Michael right though to our tableside meeting Executive Chef Jose Aragones to compliment him on the most spectacular meal followed by a homemade birthday cake. How do you beat that?

Absolutely beautiful property with amazing amenities. This is one of three resorts we have stayed at while in Costa Rica and this one definitely has every single thing you would need with kids! Multiple hot springs, the Rio River Club, game room, etc…. We stayed in the family vista room and it was perfect for our family. The staff was also excellent. Esteban not only dropped our bags in our room, he took us on a small tour around the property, pointed our sloths, differed plant varieties, showed us the tree that produces chocolate and we got to sample the inside, and my son casually mentioned to him that he loves all the local fruits. We came home from a day of enjoying the hot springs to a bag of fresh fruit including mango, rambutan, and garanilla. Wow! What amazing service! We did zip lining and the river tubing and both were amazing.

Family of 6 -- children ages 18 to 26. Stayed in the Aracari Penthouse Suite for 4 nights and then moved to two Vista Grande Double Queen Rooms for 2 nights because we wanted to extend our stay. Penthouse has incredible views. The queen rooms are new and super spacious and nice with a good view as well. Truly couldn't decide which we enjoyed more. The resort has awesome amenities, however, it is the staff that makes this resort so special. Everyone, especially our greeting host, TONY CASTRO, went beyond their jobs to make us feel welcomed and accommodated. Tony was always ready to help with whatever we needed throughout our stay, as were all the staff. Maybe most importantly, they seemed to enjoy helping. Always a friendly hello and asking about our day and adventures. If you are visiting Costa Rica, highly recommend Springs Resort

Our family of 4 (2 teenage daughters) spent 3 nights at The Springs and loved it. The views are amazing. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Our bellman, Esteban was always so friendly. On the golf cart ride to take us and luggage to our room he stopped to show us a toucan. We enjoyed swimming in all of the hot spring fed pools and the monkey slide. We saw monkeys near the monkey slide two mornings. Waking up to the beautiful view of the volcano, the birds singing and the monkey sounds while in a beautiful, comfortable villa was the rain forest experience we were looking for (all of the hotel rooms have great views). At the end of May the sun came up at 5:30 and set at 6:00 so it is good to start your day early. Raining season was beginning - we got about 2 hours of rain each afternoon - a great time to relax. We ate at the Tres Cascades breakfast buffet every morning and dinner two nights because we enjoyed it so much! The outdoor setting with a marvelous view was wonderful. We enjoyed trying traditional Costa Rican dishes, they had American options also. Virgilio was one of our servers for breakfast and dinner. He was so friendly and helpful and told us a lot about Costa Rican life. All of the servers were very accommodating. Our first full day we spent at the resort. We went to Club Rio on the first shuttle at 8:45 (Club Rio is included for hotel guests - you can pay for individual activies if you want or just enjoy the river and hot springs). We added tubing and the nature center. We all enjoyed tubing with Saul and Ricardo! Jeremy was the photographer and got some great pictures. We ate lunch there, enjoyed the hikes, hot springs and lounge chairs. Even with all day passes sold out for the holiday weekend, it did not seem crowded. Off site activities we did nearby included Mistico Hanging Bridges (25 minutes), Outback ATV tour (10 minutes), Pure Trek Canyoning (15 minutes), Downtown La Fortuna (20 minutes)

The Springs is an incredible resort, to say the least. Anthony (Tony) was our host from our 1st day - he was the kindest, funniest, and most accommodating staff member there. He remembered all 6 of our names, so anytime we passed by, he would ask how each of us was doing. I cannot give him enough praise. Thank you, Tony! The food is great, and the views of Arenal volcano are 2nd to none. The activities (both on and off campus) are so well-coordinated, and the concierge team (especially Nicole!) was so accommodating. We changed our schedule around 3x and they made it happen without a hitch. Long story short, Tony was the absolute best, and all other staff were incredible, too. This resort is worth your time and money!

My family of 10 visited the Springs and stayed in the Villa Palacio. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and you feel like you are living within the rain forest with the best view of the volcano. Everyone goes above and beyond to provide the best service. Orlando consistently greeted us with a smile and always checking in with us to make sure our daily plans were set. Mikol, Antonio and Anthony consistently took care of us at the various restaurants and bars. They all went above and beyond in providing excellent customer service. They made our trip so memorable. We will be back!!

The resort is very nice and beautiful. The staff is very friendly and polite. However, certain parts of the animal sanctuary seemed poorly kept in the sense that the animals are in cages without much shelter or covering if it rains…and it rains every day there just about. We did a tour and the coyote did not have any covering and was getting drenched in the rain. My heart melted for him as he was running in circles and seemed anxious trying to find cover. My only recommendation would be if they are keeping these animals in captivity for them to put some sort of covering in the cages because it is not nice to see them getting soaked and seem so helpless when it is raining. I think as humans it’s our job to speak up for animals in need and be a voice, and I could clearly see this animal was in distress and something needs to change for him. Otherwise, beautiful place.
