If you're looking at the the Arenal Volcano area, you must try a resort that offers hot spring pools. The Springs Resort and Spa (SRS) is exceptional. They have it all: hot spring pools, great restaurants, a spa, a gym, great concierge to arrange tours, an animal sanctuary, etc. The food, while some have commented as over-priced, is actually priced...

We were looking for a hot spring experience and didn't want to slum it by going to the free hot springs and didn't want to pay for Tobacan. Baldi and other resorts pipe in the water and didn't have the naturally volcano heated water. We ended up paying for the day pass (60 usd for 2 days). It was money...

Had an amazing experience while visiting for a long weekend in late January. Weather was beyond perfect. sunny days for our entire trip with views of the volcano for at least an hour every day. Definitely participate in the cat feeding tour; it is worth the extra money over the standard nature walk that's offered every hour. Our guide was...

My husband and I just returned from our 3rd visit to this resort and are already planning our next return. There is simply something magical about this place. We always have an amazing experience and this vacation was also exceptional from start to finish. The resort itself is relaxing, scenic and peaceful, but I think the huge reason we keep...

4 of us purchased 2 day passes and lavished in the beautiful surroundings and multitude of hot springs. The river below had much to offer as well, and we were so glad we took advantage. You can get lockers for the day, and there are options for food and drink all over. Bring the kids for adventures on the river,...

We had a fantastic experience at The Springs for our anniversary. Great service, excellent food and beautiful room. The views are second to none and the springs and grounds are amazing. The prices for the food were not bad, I would say they are fair. Just go!

We had been researching the Lake Arenal region of Costa Rica for months & had finally booked our trip & a few hotels to get us started. The Springs wasn't even on our radar for some reason, but by way of fate we accidentally discovered this paradise. We flew into San Jose & Lake Arenal was to be a 3...

What an amazing resort. All rooms have amazing volcano views! We watched the clouds around the volcano summit most of the day. The resort food was good but not the most variety especially if you are there for several days. It would also be nice if the bar stayed open past 10:00. However, despite this, you are in a rainforest...

Very nice place, including grounds, room and hot springs. The staff was very personable and go above and beyond to accommodate. The hot springs are perfect, including the ones at club rio. The restaurants have a good selection.
