The hotel is very beautiful with clean spacious rooms and great community areas (swimming pool, porch for relaxing and watching birds, billard table). Also one can borrow a bike and explore the farm and the area around the hotel. The service staff and staff of the restaurant are super friendly and welcoming. We loved it!
We stop by after 2 days of rafting at the Pacuare River, the hotel's property is bigger than we imagined. It's old world style, colorful and with beautiful gardens and trails it has great scenic views of Turrialba volcano and the nearby mountains. The room was spacious, well stoked and comfortable. The pool area perfect for relaxing after a week on the go. We loved ridding the mountain bikes around the hotel's garden, stable and long palm tree filled entrance. The food at the restaurant was not great but the little bar is great for a night cap.
we stayed at Casa Turie for 3 nights and were very pleased we did, the hotel has a homely feel to it it reminds me of a colonial home in the country, we were well looked after with drinks and the food was very good too, all the staff were extremely friendly even the gardeners wave and talk to you, the entrance to the casa is by a long driveway which gives the effect of grandeur. we even had a 2hr horse ride(never ridden before) but was very impressed by the guides. the pool is big enough to chill out in, just be careful when moving the sunbeds as my husband did and ended up falling in the pool fully dressed!! have to say I couldn't stop laughing. the perfect end to an amazing trip.
The hotel is located in a very beautiful setting: long alley of palm trees, meadows, tropical forest, lake...It gets everything. It has a nice farm with horses, goats and some other animals. The place is quiet and full of beautiful birds. I tested the junior suite: it was large and well equipped. The less positive points: - the hotel could use a renovation. It looks a bit tired - the restaurant has a very limited choice and an even more limited quality - while the staff at the restaurant is nice and warm, the one of the front desk is a bit cold But the place is so beautiful and relaxing that you will certainly enjoy it !
The hotel is amazing! It’s surrounded by trees, you can see all kinds of birds, butterflies and more. At night is absolutely quiet, the perfect place to relax and enjoy. The food was great, great service by Rafael and Tatiana. Easy check in and easy check out. They have a small farm, goats, horses, chickens and you can pet them and feed them. They have bikes you can use inside the property. We will comeback for sure
The place is very beautiful and relaxing. It is surrounded by nature and animals. The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly and watchful. There are some beautiful horses in the area. Definitely coming back.
It was probably a great hotel before, let me sumamrize: - facilities are old and dated. I understand last year was tough for them - Restaurant: absurd expensive prices for so so food, using the cheapest dinnerware you can imagine - Staff: this is what I don´t get. Service is bad, from reception to restaurant most of the staff seems like is permanently angry. Why? It was a bad year for tourism and you would expect great service, but this hotel is not the case Fine some other hotel, there are plenty of better hotels in this beautiful area
This is a very nice boutique hotel, surrounded by nature in a beautiful hacienda-type architecture. The staff was nice and helpful and the premises were very well-kept. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Given the quality of the services, it's a very good value for Costa Rican (usually expensive) standards. Do not dine at the restaurant, though: the food is subpar, amateurish and grossly overpriced. I would return to this lovely hotel anytime (but bring my own food).
We stayed here for two nights and would have loved to stay here for longer. The approach to the hotel is along a palm lined road and the hotel itself is a beautiful Spanish colonial style building. There is a small pool with some sun loungers and seating around it where drinks and meals can be served. The room are reasonably spacious although ours had two large beds in it which filled the space! The bathroom was very good with lovely toiletries and also a washing line which came in very useful! The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very good. A lovely place to stay
We stayed here two nights as we were driving from Manual Antonio to Puerto Viejo. It’s a beautiful setting driving up to this stately plantation-like estate. We were greeted prompt at the front desk with moist towels and then drinks. Our room was large with a nice size balcony but no real view. Still, it was nice to be able to seat outside. The bathroom was very large too with powerful and hot shower. Yes, some of the items in the room were worn and dated such as the drapes. And the armoire was for sale but smell musky. None of this detracted from our stay there. Enjoyed all three meals. Went horseback riding from the adjacent farm and I recommend that activity greatly. Before leaving we toured a nearby coffee farm, the Golden Bean and that’s recommended, too.
