The lamps were discharged, the little balcony has not any chair, as well the front of the room. The place was not clean, the rooms has not any view to mountains. I can not imagine sleeping in that dark room.

It's a wonderful place sorrounded by nature,, cabins are nature friendly no electricity and they have rechargeable lights. It's the perfect place to get away from the city ande be relax. Breakfast is good but a litlle bit small and no variety, despite is delicious. Highly recomended

Stayed here for 2 days as a part of a 2 week trip in Costa Rica. We were unfortunately there during an abnormally very rainy period. One day was pouring rain, the next was still damp, but not pouring. In general, this place is great. There is no electricity in the cabins, no wifi in the common areas, so you'll... More

I LOVE this place. It's definitely a more "rustic" vibe, with cabins, no electricity, and no hot water, but it is absolutely beautiful. I have been here twice and will be returning in a couple of weeks. The ambient noise is comforting and dining in the jungle amongst the leaves is amazing. The food is fresh and the staff, though... Wagelia Espino Blanco Lodge is special because of three reasons: 1. the nature reserve, which is part of the lodge. It is a beautiful, Atlantic, premontane forest, with lots of wildlife, such as monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds, and many songbird species. Good trails. The road to the lodge offers beautiful vistas of the volcano and the Talamanca mountain range. 2. the... More

Great for couples and relaxing. The trails are extraordinary but you must bring hiking shoes and water proof outfit. You are going to deal with lots of bugs even inside the cabin, so you better be prepared.

We had a great stay at the Espino Blanco lodge. The staff were extremely friendly (especially Carlos, the night guard, who helped us practice our spanish!). The cabin was simple but very clean and well kept, and with a huge bathroom (we had lots of hot water). The breakfast that is included is very good and the restaurant area is... More

My husband and I stumbled upon this, and we loved it. We had no reservation, but the staff there was very welcoming and helpful. Staff does not speak English! Our cabin was clean and very nice, mosquito netting supplied, but we did not get bitten up by bugs. We had a nice but bland dinner then headed for bed. The... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for two nights in October 2012. First of all, let me say that all of the reviews that you are reading that this place is fantastic, are true, if you are prepared for the experience. The cabins were very clean and look exactly like the pictures online. The staff was very helpful... More

This ecolodge has 10 cabins, each with two double beds with mosquito nets. The shower has two large high windows, so you can look out at the jungle wildlife whilst you're in there. There are two balconies and a hammock for relaxing in, after a day out or spent just walking aroung the jungle trails. We walked all the trails,... More
