What a good ambience has this lodge! If you want a home away from home, you should stay here. The room is really nice and has everything you need (fridge, coffeemachine, hot water, wifi) and the breakfast is delicious. I would never wanna leave the tranquil, good fibes of their cafetaria with all kinds of art from costa ricans around you. The owners will tell you anything you need to know and more. Just great!
We rented one of the chalets and were very happy with the place. Beautiful upstairs terrace, nice kitchen with all the amenities, comfortable rooms and all the accommodations to enjoy a stay in Orosi while tour around the countryside. The owners are very kind as well! 100% recommended!
We stayed one night at the Orosi Lodge and it was a lovely spot, well situated, comfortable, and with very welcoming hosts. We stayed here before the start of our five day hike on the Camino de Costa Rica, which we started nearby at Tapanti National Park.
Staying two nights in the less than touristy Orosi valley, we chose the lovely Orosi lodge. Great location in town, decent breakfast and lovely location would make any tourists happy to stop by. They serve some coffee and juice all day long on a little balcony (worth a go!) and they are really helpful to organize trips around. The rooms are simple, clean and smell nice (plus there's a kitchen area in the rooms and a small fridge). Definitely a good place to stay.
The hotel lies in the middle of the small and nice village of Orosi, next to the communal pools (these are not hot springs, but just pools feeded with thermal water). The blue and white building looks just like a family house and that's the feeling you'll also get inside. The reception hall is also a well stuffed souvenir boutique and serves also as "restaurant" of the hotel. You can't have proper lunch or dinner at this place, but breakfast is served from 7am till 7pm. We were very friendly greeted by Alejandra, who explained everything about the valley, the village, the restaurants and got us booked on a coffee tour with José the same afternoon. Our room was on the highest floor of the aisle behind the lovely interior patio garden (where hummingbirds are frequent guests). And although we had a lot of havy luggage to carry (on the last night of a one month trip through Central America), nobody was available to help us on the many stairs leading to our room...T Our room itself was rustic but comfortable, with one narrow queen size bed. there was a kind of little kitchen in the room with minibar and coffeeemaker. The bathroom is very small and you have just 60cm for the sink. The shower worked perfectly.WiFI in the room was also excellent. The coffee tour with Jose is an absolute recommendation. And you'll appreciate even more your cup of coffee back home! Breakfast at Orosi Lodge is absolutely fabulous. We chose the Continental breakfast and our table was too small to cope with the fresh fruit juice, baguette, brioche, granola, fruit salad, delicious marmelades and honey. It was our best breakfast in Costa Rica!…
