We went to Rio Perlas for a weekend in May and really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this hotel. It is quite a large property and they take you in a car to your cabin- necessary as some are quite far from the reception and up steep pathways. You are not allowed to take your car beyond reception- one... More

I was visiting this hotel for 2 nights and I have to say it's like been in paradise. The place is so peaceful and calm the staff was very kind and helpful. I like the fact that you don't have phone signal because you in the mountains, but if wifi necessary so you have at there. I met the owner... More

Nice gem in the middle of the jungle! Relaxing, beautifully surrounded by birds and flowers. We loved it! Pura Vida! The food was good, service as well. We walked around a small trail with small waterfalls running down the hill. Bathed in the naturally heated pool and enjoyed the surrounding beauty. Just gotta have good legs to go around!

For the price they're asking, waiters and service is generally poor. Too bad because they have a wondeful river flowing with tons of birds and plants. Cantina music at the spa just does not relax me! Specially if they leave the music selection to local waiters! Im looking for a real or standard spa experience. Gloriana

Máximum relax with the splendid beautiful nature and river sound. Rooms are cozy and nice, specially those uphill. Only problem: the restaurant is so so. Not bad, but not that good. Don´t buy the food included with your room. Better use the menú.

We found this place through a recommendation and happenstance. OMG!!! It was absolutely spectacular. The surroundings were not only beautiful but so peaceful and quiet. The sounds of the waterfalls, birds, monkeys, and just life blew me away. Two pools, one thermal and one cold. Small 'tubs' of thermal water all over the place. I'm a birder and I couldn't... More

We enjoyed our full day and one night at Rio Perlas. It rained nearly the entire time but we were comfortable and it was relaxing. The grounds are beautiful. The hot pool was very soothing, even in the rain. Our room was huge and very clean. The bed was comfortable but I do wish there had been a sofa or... More

This was one of the most dissapointing experiences i've had in 20 yrs in Costa Rica. I brought 2 coworkers to relax and enjoy their final day in a "5 star spa" worth $40 to spend just a few hours (in an area where all Hotsprings run between $4-6) plus a meal. Nothing worked except for the main spring. it... More

I stayed at Hotel Rio Perlas with a large group of people. Staff were welcoming and kind upon check-in and check-out. Dining staff were attentive, but not overly friendly and welcoming. Food was ok. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean. I didn't get the chance to swim in the hot springs pool, but I did walk around the lovely... More
