Very friendly place, great food (the chef enjoy giving you what you want), lovely accommodations and very peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature. No tv or other modern distractions. The view from the restaurant is beatiful and there're good walking trails.

What a lovely place tucked away in the mountains behind lake Cachi! Compared to many other roads off the beaten track the one leading to hotel Quelitales is in great shape. The local bus makes it nearly there so any 4x4 can easily tackle it. Jose and his crew do a marvellous job. On arrival we were great with a... More

We always try to stay in boutique hotels, bed and breakfasts or other local establishments instead of chain hotels or large developments, so we have a lot of experience in places that try to add a personal touch. Jose (owner) and Hotel Quelitales rank among the very best in that regard. I've never seen a hotel owner that cared as... More

We just loved this ecolodge, its situation in the rainforest, its private waterfalls and the very friendly welcome and food restaurant ! A great experience with José dishes ... To note also a real commitment in sustainable development. Take the time to come and appreciate this place located in a luxurious nature ... Thank you José for your friendliness !

For nature lovers this is a perfect secluded location as the accommodation is in individual bungalows up steep tracks surrounded by vegetation and birds. The room is a good size with indoor and outdoor showers. Unfortunately there were some blood stains on the duvet cover and hairs in the bed itself but the linen was changed on request the next... Thank you very much for your comment, we are saddened by accident in bed, we do not really know what has happened because I remember who paid a standard bungalow and we were upgraded to a suite so this was revised before arrival. again our apologies. Saludes Joseph. . More

This may be almost the only hotel in Cachi, and the road in is very rough, but it is an excellent place to visit. Very isolated with its own waterfall, lovely gardens, and hundreds of birds. Clean and airy rooms, with lots of nice touches. The owner and chef, Jose, is an excellent cook and puts his heart into everything... More

We only had one night, sadly. Though it rained the entire time, we were still in heaven. The location is stunning, the rooms are cozy with big windows that make you feel like you're a part of the nature around you. The outdoor shower was an experience my kids won't soon forget, and the handmade soap has traveled with us... More

This is the most amazing place. Very romantic. The chef/owner Jose is a master. The food in the restaurant is very good. There is a pond below the restaurant with fish. The fish doesn't have to travel very far to your table. There is also this amazing waterfall and there is an area you can sit by it to enjoy... More

We stayed for two days at Hotel Quelitales and couldn't have had a better time. Located in the middle of a mountain valley, we stayed in a very luxurious cottage called Suite de Reinitas with an outdoor shower and a wonderful view of the waterfall Doña Ana. José, the owner, took care of us like we were family and greeted... More

We attended a wedding at this beautiful lodge and stayed in a bungalow for 3 nights. Green, natural setting, Excellent cuisine - local and fresh, and the owner prepared special gluten free meals and delicious vegetarian meals upon request. Coffee was from a local organic coffee farm across the valley (Finca Christina) the best we had in CR. Extra clean... More
