Room was spacious and comfortable. Pool and Jacuzzi area not well maintained, Jacuzzi almost not working. Customer Service in general very poor and impersonal We had a dinner included in our package and we have been offered a very limited Menù choice. We didn't like either the dinner and the service. Better to eat outside

I’ll caveat my title by saying I had to request a room move to achieve this as our original (superior) room was side facing overlooking a small copse of trees! So a big thanks to the main man behind reception (apologies, I’ve forgotten your name) for accommodating a room change for the remaining 3 nights of our 4 night trip, overlooking the pool & directly facing the magical volcano. The hotel itself is a little tired in places but it offers a nice pool (with a wet bar) to relax in after all those day hikes & the selection of food at the inclusive breakfast buffet is pretty good on the whole, with an omelette chef on hand. There’s also a rooftop sports bar on site for anyone up for a late night beer (be warned, we found d La Fortuna to close down early of a night & were even refused entry in a bar/restaurant as early as 21.30 !!). What we did like about this hotel is that it’s a little out of the town centre but all the attractions seemed to be on that side of town ie. The Volcano Park, Mistico Hanging Bridges, La Fortuna Waterfall & Eco-Termales Hot Springs (see my other reviews) which meant shorter transfers. Also Uber is available & super cheap in Colones currency so don’t fall for the expensive taxis in USD.

I recently had a disappointing experience with Hotel Magic Mountain Spa & Conference Center when I had to cancel my reservation due to a last-minute change in travel plans. Despite my genuine reason for cancelation and reaching out to them promptly, they refused to provide a refund. While I understand their policy, I hoped for some flexibility given the circumstances. Unfortunately, their inflexibility left a sour taste in my mouth. Customer service and understanding go a long way in the hospitality industry and unfortunately, this property fell short in this regard. Moving forward, I’ll consider establishments with more understanding policies.

Stayed there for 2 nights. The best things are the soda next door and the pizza place a few doors down. The rooms are ok but we had constant problems with the key pads. The pools are nice and the jacuzzi hot tubs are great. Breakfast was the most chaotic I’ve ever experienced. There is no order to it and the dining room isn’t big enough for the amount of people using it. Staff are inefficient and a lot could be sorted out with a complete systems review. Took 5 asks to get a table cleaned and we gave up asking for coffee. Wonderful views of the volcano

Loved out stay here for 3 nights. Wasn’t sure as reference was conference hotel but actually it was much more family and holiday vibe rather than business. Room was nice and spacious with fridge coffee maker and great views. Pools and jacuzzis are amazing and happy hour appreciated.Staff were amazing especially Irvin and Gerson! Buffet was delicious and plentiful and restaurant nearby were easy to walk to. Used aventuras el largo to book tours and transportation as well as red lava via viator. Feedback would be to have more mirrors in room with lighting for makeup etc and shelf for toiletries in shower with hooks and bottle of water.

Very nice hotel and location, with exquisite views of the volcano from some rooms. Our balcony had a direct view of the Arenal Volcano as well as plenty of beautiful birds and butterflies flying around. The grounds are gorgeous, breakfast and dinners were very good. Highly recommend.

We were part of a tour group. Our room was large, with very comfortable king bed, mini fridge, flat screen tv, coffee maker and desk. The a/c was a bit noisy, but we were thankful it worked so well. The bathroom was good, with a free standing shower. There was no place in the shower to put your toiletries (shampoo, etc), so we had to use the window sill. There was an in room safe, however, we couldn't use it as the previous occupants had left it closed and locked and we could not access it. The breakfast buffet was included with our room and it was awesome! A separate omelette station was a stand out, as was the fresh pineapple and watermelon. There was cereal, yogurt, granola and toppings; a bread station with mini croissants, marble loaf, breads and muffins; the main part had bean, rice, scrambled eggs, fried plantains, sausage, pancakes.... it was large and well presented. The staff was very helpful and friendly, wanting to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying the area. The hotel is about a 1km walk from center town LaFortuna, with inconsistent sidewalks. But there are plenty of sodas and shops on the way, if you are walking. Overall, a very enjoyable and safe stay for us here!

Incredible place, amazing service and spectacular food. Everyone's attention to our daughter was incredible. We went to rest for a few days with the family on an all-inclusive plan, a very good price for what they offer. We are definitely going to return.

Nice beds, clean rooms, gracious staff. The highlight of course, is the view of the volcano. Pools, jacuzzis & a walk up pool bar are nice amenities. Close enough to town to walk in and far enough away for no noise. Very peaceful. Breakfast buffet is good the fruit is fresh. Omelettes to made to order. Excellent coffee is redundant in Costa Rica.
