We were in Costa Rica visiting friends who live here, we were unable to book at the hot pool resorts and found this place on the Internet for $50/night. We arrived at dusk, and when we checked into the room it cost $92/night and were unable use our Visa even though they indicate this is an acceptable form of payment....

This was not a pleasant experience. Cobwebs, rats, cockroaches, AC that doesn't work, limited hot water, uncomfortable beds (broken), etc etc. owner did not see any problem. The Internet rate was $50.US but I was charged $80. While people driving up paid $35. We also got really ripped off on the exchange rate. We paid for. A tour $60. US...

Hotel Villas Vista Arenal is a charming set of cottages located about 5 minutes away from the town of La Fortuna. The signboard is easily missable so you have to pay attention while driving. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Showers are good, but the cleanliness of the bathrooms is OK. Great views of the Arenal volcano from the property....

Room size was good. Room was not checked before we checked in. Shower was dirty with lizard poo, drain clogged with hair, and no hot water. Bedding needs to be updated with new pillows and adding mattress covers. Views of volcano were great.

Little bungalows that have the requirements, hot water, refrigerator, T.V., Wi-Fi. It is at the edge of La Fortuna (a tourist trap) but easily accessible. The town is user friendly. Breakfast was good. The volcano was cloud enshrouded during the stay except for one magical moment in the morning.

Stayed here for two nights as part of a high school trip. The best thing I can say is that the staff (the owner and his family) tried very hard to keep things working however the units themselves are tired with poor (frequently broken) plumbing and so so cleanliness. The furniture is sparse and the beds just adequate. The view...

We came to this hotel after searching for a place to stay all the morning, all the rest if the hotels were busy. We paid 60$ for a night. The guy in the reception was very nice and knew English pretty well. The room was.... Not so good as I read here in the reviews. The bed was uncomfortable, the...

These properties were suggested to us by 2 other travelers. We enjoyed our stay as it was a bit out of town (10 minute walk), quiet and with a beautiful view of volcan Arenal. The cabins were clean, had hot water, air con and free wifi. The pool was great even though it rained for most of our stay and...
