This resort is amazing. Quality service and beautiful rooms. Jose was our guide and instruction person. Took the night hike with John and would recommend this to anyone visiting here. Also did Wave Rafting. 5* on everything. Gerald was our leader and it was the best rafting trip I’ve ever had.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff was amazing. The amenities were very nice. We enjoyed the warm pools after a day of waterfall repelling and zip lining. The food at the restaurant was very good and the variety was great. I definitely recommend this hotel. The Balzer's

The stay at Arenal Springs is truly a great choice. Before our stay, all the questions we had, in great detail, were answered by their staff. Kudos to Emmanuel! We got an upgrade to our room at no extra charge, too. The surroundings were so lovely, nature all around us, and we got some of our best photos of the entire two week trip while staying there (the first half). Tours we took that were managed by other companies were also very enjoyable and mostly had everything described to a "t" so we had no big surprises and felt prepared by what to pack or wear. Reservations were easy to make, including dinner or massages (fantastic!), and we enjoyed sushi at the bar by the springs, delicious drinks, great service at the meals and breakfast buffet (also a great selection of food and offerings in the mornings). Everyone cares about your experience while there, makes you feel so protected in your experience for the fun you want to have or the quiet moments you wish to enjoy. We truly loved it, would return again soon and we plan to make our reservations very soon for another great trip!

This resort was well worth it. I can't even know what to begin with. They had beautiful rooms that were spacious and beautiful to the great food and did I mention how you could plan your whole trip with help by them. It was amazing I can't wait to return.

We enjoyed a week stay at Arenal Springs with 2 small kids during the beginning of September. I was worried about visiting during rainy season. It definitely rained a lot in the afternoon but the mornings were beautiful and that is when we did all of our activities. This property is beautifully maintained. The landscaping is nice and it's very clean. The service is great and everyone is very attentive. I would consider staying here again because I do think it was a good value for money. However it did have a particular feeling that didn't seem very Costa Rican. There was a lot of signage everywhere (albeit helpful). The hot springs felt more like pools than natural hot springs. The view from our room was amazing. Each building is only 2 rooms and they area in front is separated by plants so you really feel like you have a private space. With two young kids we also liked that we had a small grassy area in front of our room for them to go outside. Only every other row of rooms is like that. Some face the road where you park your car. We enjoyed the swim up bar. All food is very expensive (like most of CR). The included breakfast was very good with lots of options. I did not like the coffee which is a bummer because CR is so well known for good coffee. I attended several of the free yoga classes which take place on a beautiful deck with a gorgeous view. It was great to have this amenity on the property. We rented a car so that we could go into town and drive ourselves to activities. Taxis are also available.

I did a lot of research before settling on Arenal Springs. I am glade I did because my family really really enjoyed our three nights stay. Our rooms were very comfortable and well serviced daily. We had a direct view of the volcano. My mother-in-law really enjoyed the free morning yoga and the hot spring. Yoga was too early for us (6:30) but the hot springs are wonderful. Very clean and different pools with different temperature. The hot springs are only for resort guests; unlike some other resort where day pass was sold to non-resort guests. So you will not feel crowded. The Ti-Cain restaurant offered very good Costa Rican food. The service was great. The waiters are fun and festive. The whole resort is well maintained and kid’s friendly. We would definitely come back again.

We stayed in a master suite, which is 2 adjoining rooms. 1 room had 2 queen beds and it's own full bathroom . The other room had a king bed and the biggest bathroom we've ever seen. It had a walk in shower, outdoor shower and stone tub. There was a hammock outside on our porches and the master bedroom had an outdoor hot tub. Lots of storage! Walking the resort was easy, there were also complimentary golf cart rides. The hot springs were amazing. We ate at the swim up pool bar twice. The food & drinks were great. We enjoyed the restaurants and the complimentary breakfast buffet was awesome! We were there during the rainy season and it was WET! However, if was warm and the rain didn't stop us from exploring. The staff were all FANTASTIC! They enjoyed talking with our girls and helped them carry on conversations in Spanish.

This resort is lovely, but missed the mark for me. The pros: it's clean, fancy, staff are friendly, pools and hot springs are great. Now the cons: it's very isolated from everything. You have to take a taxi to go anywhere off the resort property. It's literally enclosed by an unsightly barbed wire fence. Also it didn't feel very Costa Rican. For example, one of the two restaurants is Italian cuisine, which just seems out of place. If you're looking for a fancy generic tropical resort, this is the place for you. However if you're looking for a more authentic laid-back Costa Rican vibe, look elsewhere.

This was my third trip to CR, and 2nd to la Fortuna. This hotel was great years ago, and it remains great today. Would stay here again next time I visit. Pros: - great service by all staff members, from check in to restaurant staff to hot spring bartenders. - food was the best we had at any of our hotels during these 9 days, breakfast was great with hot foods daily. - Emmanuel booked the room for us when I called them after not finding any options online. It was a gorgeous view of the arenal volcano. He booked the tours for us on the phone as well. Very helpful. - the room was cleaned very well, and we had towel art on our bed with chocolate for our romantic getaway, daily. The cleaning person made us feel very special, without ever meeting us. - hot springs were amazing, not too crowded at all, and very relaxing. - Japanese food was good, the veggie tempura amazing, in the hot spring bar. - comfortable bed, great sleep. - great water pressure in shower. - great parking spot next to room. Cons: - signs saying "keep your head above water to prevent amebic meningitis" were very casually displayed, for an illness that is mostly lethal and requires a giant cocktail of meds to try to treat it. I would recommend that the reception staff inform people of this dangerous ameba in the hot springs at time of check in, reinforcing that ppl keep their heads above water. The signs are too casual, and might not tell people of how dangerous this illness truly is and that they should do their best to avoid getting it.

Arenal Springs Hotel/Resort is simply the best. Highly recommend booking directly, the staff are kind, responsive and helpful from the first communication. Our family, including two teenage boys, were welcomed instantly with drinks and hand cloths, much needed after our drive from Liberia. The gardens and buildings are unbelievably clean and simply beautiful. Incredible hot springs fed pools of varying temps, several winding pools so they are never "busy" and they don't sell day passes to the public like other resorts with hot springs. Several iguanas and coati were spotted on property in addition to various birds and we also enjoyed the signage they include of various flora/fauna names. We loved the restaurants including being able to swim up and eat, the breakfast buffet is bountiful and delicious! Arenal Springs makes it easy to not want to leave and has incredible views of the Vulcan Arenal. We selected a few excursions arranged by hotel staff once we arrived (Mistico Hanging Bridges and Kayak at Arenal Lake). We had a couple of meals in Fortuna, which of course is much cheaper, but we ultimately loved this beautiful home away from home.
