Stayed in the tents which are all located under a giant shed so they don't get rained on. The backpackers had a nice pool and is located fairly close to the main strip of town. Overall, the facilities are pretty clean as food was fine.

I heard the shuttle was $50, but stayed in San Jose two days and took bus to backpackers. The La Fortuna Station was 2.5 hours from San Jose 7-10 station (at the corner of 7th and 10th avenue), I think it was $14 dollars. Could have been less. Google terminal7-10 for the schedule. Arneal Backpackers is 100 meters west on the main road from the station.
