We were looking for a place to stay in la Fortuna which would allow us to do a few activities and would have some comforts (after having stayed at a quite basic place previously in Manuel Antonio), so this was perfect. The private rooms were really decent and the showers too, albeit hot water would eventually run out. You can...

I was pretty disappointed in my stay here. I looked this property up on Hostel World, so I thought it was a HOSTEL. Instead, this is actually a hotel with some dorm rooms. There is no kitchen to prepare your own food, very few power outlets in the dorm rooms, and disgusting bathrooms for each dorm. The bathroom is also...

Nice place to stay. The food at the restaurant is good and well priced. The staff are really helpful. If you're not a fan of loud music then be aware that the music starts before 10am and goes to 11pm - not exactly relaxing. Having the pool is great on hot days.

It is too big to socialize. If you traveling alone pass your way. No kitchen not possible to drink and eat your own stuff. Nice bar and pool. Staff is good. Stayed one night to visit Cerro Chapo. Tours are quite expensive but you can find free amazing springwaters. 3000c for a beer :'(

My friends and I loved this place. It was recommended to us by hostel owners in Monteverde and we could not have been happier. The place was clean, good vibes, staff were friendly and it is located just a short walk from town.

I loved La Fortuna & the Arenal Backpackers. Upon arrival, the host was friendly and helpful. I didn't have a plan as to how long I was going to stay and it was low season so I just booked two nights with the option to extend. I most definitely extended an extra night. The hostel was clean, social, had great...

We had a tent on the outside of the shared area (pool, next to the bathrooms and the dorms). The single sheet was kinda chilly, so I put on some layers. You can hear your neighbors, but most of them were respectful enough to quiet down at a reasonable hour. The bar and restaurant is open pretty late and draws...

We enjoyed our stay here so much we ended up deciding to add a third night! The pool was the best part, but we met a number of awesome travelers and the location was very close to central La Fortuna. The town is quite small, easily walkable. Breakfast wasn't included but they did have some breakfast options. We ended up...
